Snowcone implemented new anti-spam measures earlier this week. These measures seem to be working already, with only a few spam topics since the update.
AppleQueso, UncleBob, and z0mbiew0lf are now Forum Admins! This is a brand new user class that is basically a cover admin, but the "break everything" button is unavailable to them.
Existing Cover Gurus now have the same powers as the new Forum Admins.
edit: And in honor of blade101, Cover Admins (and only Cover Admins) have even more power!*
*We should have had the power to edit signatures a long time ago.

Haha, funny or not he's been banned. He posted the exact same thing in another thread. The irony is pretty crazy though, if you guys want to zap him go ahead but i'm going to let the others see this, lol.

Yeah, the other post was in the other thread that mentioned the new promotions. So, Spammy-McSpammer posted his SPAM message in the two threads talking about the new anti-spam measures... That's just great. ;)

ANYWAYS, congrats you three. Hopefully, with this new category of authority and the new measures Snowcone implemented, we can further eliminate all the spam that has been plaguing us.

Unfortunately the topic 1 and half years old, so no new measures and out of those 3 only 2 are still Admins.

It was 2 in the morning, and I was trying to get ready for work. Obviously I wasn't paying attention to dates. I was just thinking about how warm and comfy my bed still was and how I shouldn't have to go to work in an hour. Oh well.

Therefore, create a terms of service with which all users must agree to the terms before posting to the forum, id est, make a legal contract. This contract should state that the site owners charge a fee for all forms of advertising. The fee could be, say, $1,000.00 per word. You could then hire an attorney to have a warant issued to the isp to reveal the identity of the offending party, then sue them for the breach of contract AND have it added to their credit report. I suggest that you become tough against these low-lives. ka-ching.
I hate advertising. Send all of the advertisers to the firing squads or the gallows. Damnit.

Its just a misconception many people have. For some reason the dumbest and fattest people make it onto American television so it makes people believe everyone is that way. Don't get me wrong there are plenty of fat and dumb people to go around here but most of us (at least that i know) aren't either.
Most 'United States citizens' refer to themselves simply as 'Americans' not because a sense of entitlement or anything but more that we are just don't feel like saying/typing United States of Americans. Its just out of convenience is my guess
