should make getting rid of tears and sticker residue marks on scans a hell of a lot easier

If the actual product works as well as that video claims, wow. That's incredible.
I remain skeptical until I actual see the released product in action, though.

My friend is a photographer and she told me that video was a hoax. So yeah...

I think it's a hoax. I could believe the first image removing the tree becuase the sky was kind of a gradient but the other two are impossible. There is no way the shrubs and plant life could reproduce itself in a beleivable way based on the elements given in the picture. How would the "new button" be able to decide to take elements from one area of the picture and not the other. It was confirmed as a hoax for me when they were creating the leftover sky. Look at the top left portion of the sky that was filled, there is a pattern in the sky that would be impossible to assume what it would look like based on the image given. The sky image shown was simply cropped and they showed the original image after. Hate hoaxes.

I don't really know if what I saw there was possible and I still don't...
this seems a little more realistic though

The video is posted on Adobe's own blog. It probably does not work as well in all cases as nicely as in the video but still Wow.

Yeah, I don't think Adobe would be doing themselves much of a favour by advertising their products with blatant hoaxes. I remember seeing the Healing Brush demoed for the first time a couple of years back (well... quite a few years ago I guess!), and that seemed just as unbelievable back then. As antony30bc said mileage will vary of course, but it does look like an amazingly powerful tool that could cut out ALOT of work from any photo or picture editing job...

Yeah I did a little research on it on my own and I think it is real, it's on their official facebook page as well and I was reading about an addon for gimp that works very similarly already.
