Well... I am out of the collecting game. After being in storage for over a decade, I sold off my what remained of my VG collection. Thankfully @videogametrader has his store in my general area (Atlanta, GA) so he was kind enough to offer me what I think was a fair price for it. I don't feel sorry for this decision since I realized that not only had I lost interest in collecting, but if I kept holding on to the games and consoles, they where just going to rot away in my basement.
That was the bad new.. The good news (at least in my eyes) is that I got the cover art bug again. I have been working the last couple of weeks on finishing covers that I started years ago as well as starting new ones. So far I already have over 50 new covers ready to go. These are mostly Japanese 3DO and Saturn (both US and EU) as well as a few PS1 cpvers, but the bulk of my near future uploads will be Japanese MegaCD covers for DVD cases. I created a new template and will be replacing the previous covers I created with ones using the new template.

I have similad thoughts.
I'm starting to turn towards selling at least everything SNES/Mega Drive and older.

If you don't regret it, then it was definitely the right move. I'm certainly not ready to get rid of stuff yet, but the thought has crossed my mind many times. However, lately I've been starting to play some of the older systems with my kinds and they are loving it, so I don't see it happening for me any time soon.
Either way, glad to see you back.

I kind of agree with this, as emulation on 16 bit and earlier is pretty much flawless, so just having a full library on the mini HDMI systems is good enough for me. I don't even want any CRTs anymore. The only thing I'd like to figure out is a good way to play the old light gun games. I may keep a CRT just for them.

When I lived in California and Florida I had friends that enjoyed video games and it was nice to collect as we would play with them every now and then, but then I moved to Georgia and lost that connection. I have no kids (nor will I ever have them) so I really have nobody to enjoy the old games with. I slowly lost interest and moved on to other crap to sped money on (bought and sold 7 motorcycles over the last 6 years) and also got a few guns to go target shooting with new friends.
