I was just thinking about how I'd like to see a black template, as I'd probably take to it like I did the black Dreamcast cases. Anyway, Nintendo of Japan is introducing them to separate the kid friendly games from the not-so-kid-friendly ones.
Interesting.

Kind of a clever way to do that...with this and the red NSMB I kinda like how Nintendo is doing whatever they want.

I like this idea alot, I actually started work on a template for this as soon as I heard about it, I just need to see what the back looks like and I'll have it done.
-
I like it and now it throws this whole debate of "should I make my whole Wii collection white....white and black? keep it original....." ah damn.
but I do hope it helps people sorting out the sea of white games and sell more mature games.
-
uhg..... i thought it was bad that they screwwed up uniformity with NSMB and the metroid collection... and now THIS?? :'(
oh well, they are cool looking

I wonder of the likelihood that this will happen internationally in North America as well? I'm actually happy about this if it comes here because black cases fit my Wii set up perfectly.
Why? White Wii game cases are very difficult to replace if you buy games with giant stickers on them that leave that horrid sticker residue or are scratched damaged or missing entirely. I have a local game store that sells replacement cases. $1 for a white Wii case but only $3 for 10 black cases! Because of this, I've already replaced all my Wii game cases with black ones and just the old Wii cases for my very limited Dreamcast Collection because that system too was white.

Regarding the Metroid collection, does anyone know if a Metroid Prime Trilogy cover was uploaded on some random forum post? I can't seem to find it in any of the forums and it's not on the site. If that's the case I will make a custom, but I just wanted to double check before proceeding.

I doubt it, but even if there is, there's no harm in making your own custom cover. Who knows? Maybe yours will be preferred or even very different from the other one. Variety is the spice of life.
