Post by: Arseen on February 14, 2019, 03:01:59 AM
Few interesting things shown, all Switch.

Things that interested me were:
Super Mario Maker 2
Link's Awakening

Free demo of Yoshi's Crafted World available now.

Also Final Fantasy 9 available to buy now, Final Fantasy 7 later.

The list of reasons to get a Switch has finally started to grow for me.  I think this will be the year.

Link's Awakening announcement blew my mind lol.  So excited for that one as I love the original.

Fire Emblem is looking great (I enjoy FE games) and Astral Chain also looks awesome.

Played the Daemon x Machina demo yesterday and its pretty cool but the controls take a bit to get used to.

Also played Tetris 99 and while fun I mostly got my butt kicked lol.

The one screen shot I saw of Link's Awakening looks so good. It's a delightfully simple and accurate representation of the game. Don't have a switch yet, but that's a reason to put it on the list.

There's video of it in action.  It looks a lot like A Link Between Worlds.  It would be nice if they used the same engine to remake Zelda 1 & 3 at some point...

Those dumbasses at Nintendo still couldn't put Super Mario Bros. 2 in Mario Maker? And of course I mean the US one, to me, the "real" SMB2, screw the crappy Lost Levels game. I'm not buying Mario Maker 2 unless they let me throw enemies and veggies and have magic potions, and play as Luigi, Peach and Toad. Plus have multiplayer like the New SMB series and be able to create full "games", not just one level at a time. I also don't want the game if I can't play on TV. Without these changes, why is it "2", rather than "Deluxe"? On a related note, let me know when New SMB Deluxe adds DLC to play the original Wii NSMB Wii and I'll buy that game too. Unlike a lot of people, I guess, I still like and play my Wii U. I don't care about portability. The US NES Super Mario Bros. 2 is my favorite Mario game of all time. If it had multiplayer, that would put it way over the top.
