so I ordered my dreamcast, it's in the mail :) I was wondering if there are any superior video hookup cables I should know about or should I just stick with the av cables it comes with?

If you have an HDTV, VGA is the way to go.
-
And if you own a SDTV buy a RGB Scart cable, it's way better than the composite cable and in my oppinion the way to get the best pircture on a normal TV.

I think that even with the VGA adapter and an HDTV the DC will only work at 480 resolution.. Just an FYI
Still better than standard composit.

Yeah I didn't expect it to run at 720 or 1080, I mean HD television wasn't even really a thing back when the dreamcast was released. I actually read this thing online where a guy said he made an hdmi adaptor for his dreamcast but that the video quality was worse than it was just using a vga connector.

Not all games support VGA(which is 480p indeed) unfortunately and those that do not always look great....
Besides why was this thread stickied?

Because I'm awesome that's why! LOL, I didn't actually realized it was stickied until you said that :P I'm sure one of the other mods just did it by mistake.
