Not to mention the recent addition of SA-1 compatibility, which is actually of far greater use than FX. There are a lot of good SA-1 titles, versus the paltry 2-3 good FX titles.

Oh they did crack that too, nice.
So no chips left?
On side note:
I so would like the NT NES, but... 450 is too steep.
Hopefully they do plastic version for cheaper someday.

There are still a few, but honestly, the remaining ones won't matter to 99.9999% of gamers.

^^^ what he said.
CX4 (Megaman X2 & X3) would be nice. Other than that, I think that the really important stuff is covered now that we have SA1.
-
Now that i am married and don't have to save for a wedding anymore I went a tad nuts with buying games. I will post a huge pic dump later this week.
-

I could have sworn that CX4 was already covered years ago, but I might be wrong. I'm not a Mega Man person, so I never tried either game in my SD2SNES.
I thought we were only missing the following chips:
S-DD1
Star Ocean
Street Frighter Alpha 2
SPC7110
Far East of Eden Zero
Momotaro Dentetsu Happy
Super Power League 4
ST011
Hayazashi Nidan Morita Shogi
ST018
Hayazashi Nidan Morita Shogi 2

Yeah, we've had CX4 for awhile now. Apart from accuracy improvements to the existing support, S-DD1 will be the big one now, I think.

Ah, my mistake then.

Finds from some labor day sales over the weekend. The yellow Famicom game is a bootleg / hack called The Dragon which uses Mortal Kombat sprites. The other 2 are King Kong 2 and Jackie Chan. Drakenguard was a upgrade for my copy and it ended up having a extra disc inside so now I got 3 copies of it lol. All the Sega games are CIB and Starflight has the map too. Found some uncommon portable games for good prices too including Fastest Lap.

I have been after these for a while. But, honestly, since I missed their initial print run there was no way I was going to pay the asking price for these, at least Archive I

I had some store credit, so these basically cost about $20 at my local game store. Not bad, considering that the first book goes for over $100 these days. But then I find out this was apparently a 2-pack, that is even less common. Lucky me. I almost feel bad for reading them...almost. :D

Cool.

Site was down or buzy when I tried.

Only found out about that Polymega thing the other day. Seems interesting. Too bad literally EVERYONE feels the same way. ;D

GameStop is doing a 3 for $25 on games $14.99 and under. With the 20% rewards, that comes out to under $7 per game.

Something cool from Brazil came in the mail today! This is a re-release of the fabled 32x version of Surgical Strike that was only released in Brazil by Tec Toys! I'm still technically one game down from finishing my 32x set but I figured I'd add this one too :p Here is some more info about the history and this release from John Hancock who helped with this re-release:

Now 2 of us has that. :D
I just don't have all nesessary things to play that yet.
I have Japanese MD2 and MCD2 waiting to be internationalized, but before that I need Japanese 32-X.
Or maybe that Polymega will have compatibility.
-
That's cool man! Good luck with the Japanese 32x, those things don't seem to pop up very often. As far as I know, this is completely region free so you should be good on that aspect.

I know.
I want Japanese version as the cartridge slot is bigger in that and when modding the console the slot doesn't have to be enlarged like US/EU ones would have to be.

I thought it is NTSC-U version.
Anyway I have no clue where my MD stuff is, so I anyway need to buy new ones.
-
This finally got here! I am a huge fan of Holy Diver (both the game AND the album) so I was more than excited when I heard that there would finally be a (somewhat kinda sorta) official US release!

Absolutely beautiful. The first 1000 sold got a white cartridge, while the others got a black one. Admittedly, I'd have preferred a different color than white, but I will happily take what I can get. And the game looks amazing running on my AVS. :D

Currently in a quarrel with my brother over him being an inconsiderate prick, so since he is obsessed with PS trophies and playing his drums on Rock Band, I am on a quest to platinum all of the Rock Band games that have trophies (or for the Track Packs... just get 100%...)
Only problem is, as of a couple weeks ago, I had no Rock Band games, nor working instruments.
Craigslist find beginning of the week had Rock Band 4 (PS4) w/ bluetooth Drums w/ bluetooth Jaguar Guitar w/Mic for $30.00
(https://s15.postimg.cc/kessuvva3/IMG_0989.jpg)
currently though, I am also creating my own PushButton Band (Hero) with a broken PS3 drumset :D I legitimately can't believe that you can solder a few wires to the brain of the PS3 drumset, add a battery, and connect an arcade button and make it actually work. Just finished my proof of concept probably an hour ago, and I still can't believe it works. Will have to take a picture of the finished product when it's all done :) The buttons were 14 for $46
(https://s15.postimg.cc/tml1bla23/IMG_0990.jpg)
-
That's pretty cool with the buttons, looks like something I'd do!
So I was out today picking up my new glasses and thought I'd treat myself, wandered around a bit and went into my local branch of CEX (second hand electronics/movies/games) and picked up a few games off my want list;
(http://i782.photobucket.com/albums/yy106/gameathlon/IMG_20180907_130534_zpsoc2kfxqp.jpg) (http://s782.photobucket.com/user/gameathlon/media/IMG_20180907_130534_zpsoc2kfxqp.jpg.html)
For £1 how could I not get JC...
-
I can mediocre'ly play on hard with the drums with real drums (the kick drum is my main problem). Soldered Ethernet cable to the main pcb board, so extending the cable or having the button box be a standalone box is feasible.
From what I have tested so far with one button, and nothing soldered, I am already loving this. I did find out that I can wire two colored notes to one button and press 1 button to activate 2 colors (not sure if I really want to implement that though....)
-
Being an Xbox guy and owning a One X and a base PS4, I never really planned on getting a PS4 Pro...until this thing got announced. My favorite super hero and most anticipated game of 2018....I couldn't resist. I just wish they made a red stand to match.

3 amazing games. I still love cyber sled. Wish they'd revive that one.

I played the shit out of Warhawk.

I don't have any pickups at the moment, but I figured this was a good of a place to share as anywhere else. Every summer over the past few years, Target has done a bunch of clearance sales on their video games. I've found some pretty awesome deals on brand new games. But I've been pretty disappointed that I've seen almost nothing so far this year. Well I was pleasantly surprised today to find a bunch of clearance accessories. To clarify, NO GAMES. But lots of decent stuff marked down including first party controllers and accessories. I didn't see anything I needed, but I'm hoping that this means they might start marking their games down soon, so keep an eye out.
I know that not all Targets across the country clearance their stuff out at the same time or same price, so I was curious what others have seen. Wiggy, I know you are usually good about tracking the prices at Target, so I'm curious if you have seen similar results this summer.

Got some more Atari swag in the mail today to be turned into covers...

Make sure you try out the Bridge Constructor game. It's a lot of fun.

Had the Craigslist deal of the century for me regarding computers
My uncles hard drive was starting to fail, so I swapped over his failing hard drive to another to get him by and started looking for a replacement as his CPU benchmark is only 1800 (a decent $200 computer nowadays benches at around 2000). Couldn't find anything local, so looked out of state for the heck of it. Found a listing that seriously looked like a scam, and almost didn't reach out to the guy...
My PC's current benchmark
(https://i.postimg.cc/Hk4YdXtv/current_benchmark.png)
Mom's PC's current benchmark
(https://i.postimg.cc/5Nz9KZQV/moms_benchmark.png)
He had multiple i5 PC's for $50 each. Grabbed 5x and a laptop (i3) for $300
(https://i.postimg.cc/SKSysRTS/image.jpg)
Dell Optiplex 3010 (1x)
Dell Optiplex 3040 (4x)
The i3 laptop benches at 3000, nothing too terrible, but hey, christmas gift for my sister :D
PC Replacements - 1x for my uncle, 1x for my mom, 1x for me
Possible MAME machines - 2x lol
Can't wait to add SSD's to these and get them set up! Already have a 480GB SSD in my pc and a 240GB SSD in moms. Just gotta do some cleaning :)
Not bad seeing the 70 mile one way drive =) $35ish in gas

Ugh. Dell computers. Don’t even get me started. My wife’s all-in-one (that I seriously warned her against) took a shit after 6 months and probably about 30 hours of use.
It’s currently in my shop waiting to be gutted...

Arseen pretty much covered it. To give a little more detail, it's an SD based ISO loader that plugs into the parallel port of the original PS1. It can be used to load PS1 ISO's (like the GDEmu) without removing the ability to still play original discs (unlike the GDEmu).
Obviously, it's only compatible with the original PS1 model with the parallel port. Unfortunately, it requires some minor soldering on the board to make the PSIO work. That's the only real disappointment. It's not as plug and play as they wanted it to be when the project began. Also, the development process has been slow, and the cost is pretty high, but honestly, that's to be expected.

Dell PC problems I have encountered in my lifetime (as I have only ever owned Dell):
Faulty HDD
Bad RAM
CMOS Battery dead
Dead USB slots
Incompatible Hardware with Windows 10 that constantly screws up screen resolution
Dead CD Drive that halted entire boot process
Old machine would not allow SD Cards to be inserted during boot up
CPU Dead from power outage / spike
Laptop problems on the other hand.... lol...:
MOBO Died
While Tech was replacing the MOBO, after turning it on, it instantly blew up in his face
Replaced battery
Replaced charger
Replaced MOBO again
Replaced charge port
Faulty hinge for lid to secure screen in place
Plastic on lid near hinges detacted and would not snap back together
Keyboard failure for only the keys of --2 W S X--
Clip under left side of mouse broke, so only the right side of the left mouse button worked
Heatsync failure and sounded like a jet engine every 5 minutes
Laptop 2
Wont turn on unless the screen was angled at a specific 32º angle
battery completely dead
charger wont charge
mouse keys wont work at all, have to use touchpad
etc
etc
etc
I mean I can go on. The i5-6500 CPU is between 4x $100-150 each ($400-600) and take the 8GB RAM sticks 4x $50-80 ($200-320), I'm already $600-920, when I only paid $200 on the 4. If the worst comes to the worst, I'll part it and buy a new MOBO that has 4x RAM slots for $70 each. But I have never had a catastrophic problem with Dell computers. Backup your data and you will be fine.

Every all-in-one is Garbage. "I have an idea lets mount a computer on the back of a 24 inch hot plate"
Gotta love LinuxTechTips's experience with the $5000 iMac Pro. "We've designed it so it should never be cleaned out, and if you break it, we won't fix it under warranty".
Would never purchase a PC / Laptop that I couldn't take apart and fix. Have never had an all-in-one computer, but they just seem useless to me... Oh, you need to add a second hard drive you your system.... oh sorry, we have no space in here!

Pick-ups from the last few weeks. Gamestop Pro day, Flea Market, Toy show, LRG, etc. Best deal may have been the 2 3DS CEs for $8 each from Gamestop and Musashi for $30 from a local toy show.
