Not video game related, but still nerdy enough for this thread I think. Completed my Marvel MCU 10th anniversary slipcover collection. Black Panther and Thor: Ragnarok haven't yet been re-released in this format. Annoyingly, Spider-Man Homecoming doesn't have the "Phase" on the spine.

In the US, most of them are out at pretty much every major retailer, Target, Walmart, Best Buy. The first 13 were re-releases of the originals. One disc with digital, no DVD. Same cover underneath as the slipcover. All new back cover too. For the last three, Spider-Man Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 and Doctor Strange, they are simply the regular combo pack with a new slipcover (same back cover) and are Walmart exclusives.

Nice, quick tip if you want to open but save the box, if you carefully unfold the bottom of the box rather than opening the top it saves the box with no rips required!

But, TDIRunner, that's what I did too, carefully opened the bottom of the box so I could remove the controller and keep the packaging intact. As far as suggestions, another one is to donate the whole thing (box and controller) to a homeless person. They need help too...

She is controlled like by two different things.
She's also sweet and cuddly, but then suddenly goes all dark and wanderes around.

Next up, I got the CD sampler that goes with Comix Zone (and is always missing) in the mail. Unfortunately someone cut the cardboard case in half to put it in a jewel case but it will do for now and my copy of Comix Zone is complete.

For the record, I own all of the individual comics that make up this book, but I've been wanting to get this so I don't have to go through each issue to read it. This is part one which includes the entire Knightfall story line and it includes some of the issues that lead up to Knightfall. I almost bought the paperback versions several years ago, and I'm glad I held off. I didn't know about the hard bound versions until recently. I will eventually get the other volumes as well.

The first time I did one of these, I went all proper and used all the caps and such. The second one I did, I just straight up rewired it and it actually gave me better, brighter output. Go figure.

Had to take it apart clean the contacts, the rubber conductors, and added white lithium grease to the stick's ball and cup joint.

Because I have multiple Wiis and needed another wide screen sensor bar!

only needed to clean a bit of "dirt" out of the seams on the side. and some salt off the screws!

The best thing is all of it works great and with the added Lithium grease the arcade sticks work better than ever!

Got these for my 2nd xbox... 2 of the controllers did not work and had shorted cables. The seller gave me 1/2 of my money back and let me keep the broken controllers.

So I got to work and shortened the cables and soldered directly to the board.

Once the controllers worked I shrink wrapped the Ferrite Chokes and used black silicone to keep them in place.

This little beauty can Take Rf, Composite, S-video and convert it to Component. S-video is on the front input of the device behind the flip down door.

Then, I had a good day at the Flea Market over the weekend. Found some great deals. All the Sega games are CIB. Captain Silver is a "Sega in the 90s" variant and the loose Choplifter cart is a Tectoys version which is crazy to find randomly in the midwest. The Strider Returns looked really messed up but I was actually able to get all that tape off with no damage to the artwork.

Also in the mail, CT Special Forces 3. A legitimate copy finally popped up on ebay so I was able to complete my set.

Should I just put them in lots on ebay? Is anyone here interested? I can sort thru them better this weekend. If no one wants them, I will just have to trash them.

People do collect them. Probably the Nintendo Power ones more then the others. If you have a independent game store in you area, they might be interested in them. I know some of the ones around me sell old copies. If you decided to just pitch them, I would at lease go though the Nintendo Powers and pull the posters out as people still love those for game rooms.

Seeing original articles, reviews and advertisements for games that are now legendary is so much fun. Not to mention seeing the numerous ads selling Stadium Events for $30.
