In case that you don't follow the Limited Run Games guys on social media, you might have missed that they're working on replacement long cases for Sega CD, Saturn, and original PS1 games.
Check out Josh Fairhurst (@LimitedRunJosh): https://twitter.com/LimitedRunJosh?s=09

if the quality is improved this is great news

I even searched to make sure that I wasn't making a duplicate post. Of course the original thread had none of the keywords that I searched. :P

Looks like someone beat LRG to it.

Interesting... Josh mentioned something about this a few months ago, that they might get beat to market. These might be cheaper then theirs too as I think they were looking at a $5 per case price point.

may be first on the market and possibly cheaper, but I am confident that LRG will have better quality.

Anywhere else to get them besides amazon? My amazon account got hacked twice in the last 6 months and they treated me like a criminal afterwards. I refuse to give them my money anymore.

As much as I'd like to have these replacement long boxes, without proper art to put in them, I'd probably just stick with our awesome custom covers in white DVD cases
-
The quality looks to be pretty good on them. Saturn is one of the systems I'm collecting for in their cases with original artwork and man alive, those cases are ludicrously fragile!

Josh posted an update about the cases and also addressed these amazon ones in the thread here:

Hopefully someone will buy one of each and do a side by side comparison. I'm guessing that there will be more of a difference in durability as opposed to a difference in initial quality. Personally, I'm more interested in the fact that they are comparable enough to the originals, that they won't look different sitting next to each other on a shelf. Overall durability isn't as important to me because I've never had a problem with jewel cases breaking when they are in my possession. I only have the problem of trying to find cases that aren't broken before I get my hands on them.
With that being said, at $4 to $5 each, I'm probably going to stick with DVD cases anyway.
