So I own a xbox one elite controller and the grips are coming off and I know they have a 90 day warranty but get this because I did not buy it with a Xbox One or even own a Xbox One they can't help me ???. I mean what the hell I bought it to use on my PC. I am going to print off my receipt and head to my local microsoft store to see if they can help me. I paid full retail for this controller as I liked the options it has.

This is just another reason for me to disavow Microsoft. Good luck!

yeah thanks. but this little set back wont stop me buying controllers i like. you would think for a 150 buck one they would have a stand alone warranty and not tied to a system

Do you have a Microsoft store nearby? If so, I'd take it and your receipt in. There's a lot to be said for an in-person appearance in my experience. Retail stores are setup to (and depend upon) good customer service, unlike call centers, which are just setup to take the volume of complaints and churn out canned answers, even if those answers seem to just piss people off. At least nobody is around to see your miserable experience and be put off by it. They also aren't in the business of selling product, so there's no incentive to kiss your ass and make you happy. They aren't income generators.

So long as it is not a Cell Phone store! Every experience I have corporate store has been RUBBISH! Regardless if it is Call Center or Store, cell phone companies don't give a shit about their customers.
