From Ign:
"The boys over at Capcom Unity have released some faceplate template's that anyone can use to create custom covers for the Street Fighter IV FightSticks, both the regular and Tournament Editions from Mad Catz. The templates come in a PSD file, so anyone with even the most basic of Photoshop experience can experiment and produce great looking faceplates. How soon before one of Ryu and Ken making out surfaces, however, is anyone's guess.
Once you get a design going that you're happy with, just take the file over to your local Kinkos and get them lamented. Then, you're ready to open up your joystick and add your own artwork. Just keep in mind though that if you open up your stick, you're voiding the warranty immediately, so if this is your first mod job, you might want to have a friend with some experience on hand to make sure you don't destroy the unit.
While professional game designers may produce better in-game content than practically anyone else, when it comes to whipping out some unbelievable artwork for custom gaming projects, the user community is hard to beat. Besides, where else would we turn to in order to get a custom arcade stick with our high school sweetheart painted all over it...we miss her so much. HADOKEN!!"

I don't own one of those fighsticks and I wasn't planning to get one but I just think I may reconsider. Some people here have already bought on of these sticks or have them preordered so I thought it would be more than appropriate to post it here. How cool would a coverproject.net fightstick look like, what do you think? ;) I'm excited to see what our great artists and the ones who will join after the word gets out can do with it.
Here's the link to the Ign article with some previews of what it looks like

Here's the link to Capcom-unity with a little more insight and the templates you need to get started:
http://www.capcom-unity.com/s-kill/blog/2009/02/09/diy_stick_art_sfiv_fightstick_faceplate_templates
There are two templates, one for the normal FighStick and one for the Tournament Edition. I downloaded the templates and in time they will be hosted here in case the links go down or something. So they won't be lost.
Enjoy!

Its a nice idea. It also doesn't have to be about fighting or Street Fighter. I use the fighting stick i have for anything arcade related. Had a quick go at a SF4 one though...could not resist it. :)

Cool! So I could make it a 3rd Strike stick instead...tempting!
-
I reall yliek the design. Especially the Ivy one since she is my favourite character of the series. I just wish they had not gone all Dead Or Alive on her rack.
-
Ivy is my favorite character too, I did a few designs of her but I think this is the best. ^^
I'll be uploading a lizardman one too, we need more lizard love.
-
That doesn't look like it would offer much protection at all.
-
Maybe she is rather an offensive than a defensive character... ;)

Does anyone have any templates for the xarcade stick solo ? if so please let me know looking forward to printing one out ;D
