A buddy and I attended our first arcade expo this year at the Louisville Arcade Expo, and our minds were blown. Started looking into it more and found another one in Nashville in Nov.
Anyone know of any other Expos in the midwest that are worth going to? Anyone planning on attending the "Grand ole expo" in Nashville?

I highly recommend Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee, WI. It's a little far from you (I make the trip from STL every year) but it's a great con! It's already over for the year.

STL is doing a con this year too. It's mostly going to be game vendors and some game industry guests. A little closer for you.

Looked up the STL con, is it more about the panels and vendors than the actual games? We're considering making a trip down there if it's worth it

Yeah I believe so. I don't know of any plans for arcade games or pinball. As far as I know it's more about the vendors / guests. Having said that, there's some good arcades in the STL area to check out if you come up.

I will probably be going to the Nashville expo. Not sure what to expect, really. It's fairly new, only the 2nd or 3rd time they've done it. There's also the Southern Fried Game Expo (I think that's what it's called) in Atlanta that seems pretty promising. (Not exactly MId-West, but it's the only other nearish Nashville I can think of)

The other big one in the Midwest (I haven't been) is CCAG in Cleveland, OH.

Oh shit, that one sounds great. And I see Wiggy is even donating prizes to that one. I think I may try and road trip up there to check that one out

I'd love to go to an expo or con of any sort, but living in northern New England it's hard to find anything close by. I know Boston has a yearly Comic Con, but it's hard to justify the trip and the cost since I'm really only tangentially interested in comic books. Anyone know of a north east US video game expo? Or are they all west coast and central US?

PAX is in Boston. It's not a comic expo at all

I'm a Penny Arcade fan, and have heard PAX mentioned, but didn't realize there was an east coast version! Thanks for the heads up, Hesch. I'll have to do some research and plan a trip. I've got family that live near Boston, so I probably wouldn't even need to find a hotel.
If there's anyone here who has visited a PAX event before, can it be done in one day, or does it take multiple days to see all the sights?

I've been dying to go to a PAX for a while now. If you go, let me know how it is.

There's also TooManyGames in Philadelphia (again, already over for the year).

There is Portland Retro Gaming Expo in Portland, Oregon. They have this event ever year in the month of October. They follow it up with a video game swap meet in January too. I go to both events every year. There is also California Extreme in Santa Clara, California. This is the biggest arcade and pinball show. It's going to be on July 29 & 30, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. I'm looking forward to this year's event.
