My friend who has tendency both to prank and outright tourette-like blurb what comes to mind (no matter if it's true or lie).
Anyway he texted me that local somewhat small gas station is going to get Burger King installed.
My first thought was: Yeah sure...
But I had to check...
To my surprice local news paper confirmed that nationwide gas station chain had signed contract to spread Burger King to up to 200 of their stations.
They'll start with test of 5 by the summer of which the our small gas station will be the first due in few months!!!
OH THE JOY!!!
I know that this is not big thing but we only have 1 McDonalds within 80 kilometers (McDricve open 24/7, inside 10-23), as well as 3 other good ones and 3 shit ones in town.
6 lastly mentioned are open ridiculously short times (11-20 the good ones, one of the shit ones is 12-17).
I have bad feeling that Burger King might be only open 10-20, but with luck longer maybe even 6-24 like the gasstation itself..

I've always loved Burger King. Enjoy!

Man we're spoiled over here. There are 3 McDonalds and 2 Burger Kings within walking distance from where I live. Not to mention the Taco Bells, KFC's, Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robins that are in between lol.

BK and McD are not fit to lick the sweaty buttcrack of in-n-out. No offense.

I this FINe LAND of mine we don't have in and out, not KFC nor Wendy's with it's Baconator.
But oh do we have Kebap-pizzerias...

I used to eat at BK all of the time, but I hardly ever go there anymore.
-
I'm surprised that you are so surpriced ;D

I've been waiting for a Burger King to be finished for some time now close to where I live. I never liked having to go on the college campus with a herd of children to enjoy that flame-broiled goodness. Mmmmmm flame-broiled cheeseburgers...

McDricve open 24/7, inside 10-23
They finally released the opening hours and Holy shit!!!
Burger King is really going against McDonalds on full force!
As you can see from those two quotes I predicted that with bad luck the opening hours are short and with good luck they match the gasstations open hours, but it's actually better!
Not only is the inside open 5:00-24:00, but they too will have 24h drive thru!
And highly likely they will have full menu always, or atleast way better than local McDonald's has during night and mornings, and bit better during daytime.
And BK location is way better for me, and they have gas pumps and car wash there so I can during work nights just "go wash the work car" (as only night shift has time to do that, and I do 70% of the night shifts) or "tank up" and hit the drive thru.
And I requested McDonlad's to bring back Deluxe Potatoes (answer was no such plans at the moment, but blah blah blaa), which means no more McDonald's for me, nor for my close friends as they too live closer to BK than McD.

I just have to pull this meme back down, because I read this last post in a fat persons unfortunate accent, while being out of breath. Love this picture

I too am, let's say, not soon going to starve (184cm, 145kg).
We do have in addition to those 2 places have 3 Hesburgers, 3 Scan Burgers, 1 Roll's, 3 Kotipizzas and ridiculous amount of various kebeb-pizzerias (50+) in town but apart from Hesburgers the burger places' quality is not that high, and all have bad, too early closing opening hours.

Wendy's is where it's at. All those other fast food joints are just posers.
But at least most of you all are lucky enough to have something close.
I live in central Missouri and the closest whatever is a 15 minute drive away.

I'd love Baconator but Wendy's doesn't bother to come to Europe.
And those places I mentioned the closests is 20-25 minutes away... close by our stantards still. ;)

Lol ya I understand. We used to have a Burger King close by here also but for unknown reasons it closed. I'm guessing to lack of business. Sadly an Arby's took its place, which I like but the service is poor and every time something good comes on the menu they always drop it off again when it does well.

This is exactly what McDonald's does here.
Deluxe Potatoes where so popular that at least 25% of customers chose those (friend's sister worked there at the time) and they could not keep up.
But instead of upping production they discontinued them.
-
It's simple math. Those premium items are meant to draw people in, especially new customers. The profit margin on those items is surely lower, much lower than their normal menu items, so they only keep them around long enough to entice people to come in.

1x Double Bacon Cheeseburger + 2x Rodeo Burger = ~$4.75.

McDonald's vs Burger King fight intensifies!!!
McDonald's put up new sign telling the drivers of near by motorway how to get to them, 2 days later Burger King put up same size sign 50 meters earlier telling they are closer and way faster and easier to get to.
McDonald's had been asked many times to keep the inside of their restaurant open later in to evening (their McDrive has always been 24/7 except for Christmas Eve afternoon/evening and Christamas Day morning) but the answer has always been strickt but polite no due to security and money issues... Until last week when they suddenly decided to keep it also open 24/7.
McDonald's has started bumping the smell of their food out of their restaurant more (you can smell it way more intensly and further away).
Against the small print of their adds Burger King keeps their day menu including specialities available 24/7 (adds say only available between 06:0-22:00) and same goes to their discount vouchers (same small print).
Also the second largest burger chain Hesburger (3rd wheel of this competition) has had better offers and specialty burgers and are opening new restaurant (4th of theirs in town versus 1 each for McDonald's and Burger King) at biggest shopping center of the town (way better location for people at city center than McDonald's or Burger King has).
For me as I still have to drive to city Burger King is best located, but closely followed by McDonald's and Hesburger.
There are still 2 other chains Scanburger and Rolls that have locations but they suffer from heavy competition.
Rolls is next to Mcdonald's in a gas station and can't match the quality, and both Scanburgers are way out of city center in semi quiet areas (altough without competition). Good locations for locals but near impossible to find unless you know where they are.
On side note it turns out that Burger King is operated by co-worker's daughter and her husband, and my co-worker tells that the restaurant is so busy that they still have to have double the intented employees on normal days and 4 times on week ends.
Thus my co-worker has bit of a mixed thing going:
On one hand she tries to advertise the restaurant to keep it buzy and on other hand to tell me to loose weight and stay out of there. :D

Sounds like a good problem to have :D
