Since the SNES CGC cases appear to be on the way soon, I have started to resize some of the UGC covers to fit the CGC size. I will post the what I complete here so that others may grab them.
Here is the first case. This cover was completely rebuilt. New screenshots were taken using an emulator. They are not exactly the same as retail, but are pretty close. All the logos were switched out for vector versions. Let me know what you think!

Very impressive, but your dimensions are a little off. The full cover for a CGC case is 11 & 9/16" by 6 & 15/16", with a 1 & 1/10" spine. That measures out to about 3470 x 2080 pixels, with 330 for the spine. The panels are 1570 wide each.
-
I did not know that. I used one of shenske's NES covers to get the dimensions. I did do a test print, and it seemed to fit correctly. I will have to take another look at the dimensions for future covers.
-
I learned a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away), not to trust most people's measuring skills with this kind of thing. I found one of Shadowfox's cases at a gaming convention, and used a flat ruler with a piece of legal paper. After two or three attempts (just to get the fit snug without wrinkling), I reached the previously-mentioned numbers. Whenever I download someone else's template, I often transplant them to a new one of my own design for a better fit. The artists here generally seem to prefer a small amount of "wiggle room" for their covers; I differ in that regard.
-
Here is the second cover. Like the first this was fully rebuilt using new assets. This included grabbing new screenshots from the game. I kept the same image size as the Return of the Jedi cover. I did this to keep consistent with the sizing being used on a majority of the covers hosted here. I may in the future offer an alternative per the suggestion by MovieFan. Let me know what you think!

Hello everyone! I'm very excited to bring you my very first Super Nintendo Custom Game Case cover. This cover was made with Moviefan2k4's confirmed dimensions. What better way to start than with Super Mario All-Stars. This game is one of my big childhood favorites. I used to play it all the time. Credit goes to gamescanner.org for the Super Nintendo US Famicom logo. I found the grey too light. I experimented with different shades of grey until I found the right shade. Credit also goes to RingoStarr39 on DeviantArt for the Super Mario All-Stars logo. After I traced it with Vector Magic, I changed the colors in Illustrator by using the colors from my scan. One little bar was also missing from the "A" on the word "All". I added a solid black line to complete it. I also found out that the font used for the words "Entertainment System" are different. I went to MyFonts.com to find out what it is. The font was identified as Berthold Akzidenz Grotesk Medium Condensed Italic. It's a very close match. Portland Retro Gaming Expo is coming up this weekend and I'm looking forward to it. Who knows what games I'm going to find? Please enjoy my first Super Nintendo cover and I'll see you all next time!

Happy Halloween, everybody! Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween and ate plenty of your favorite candy. This year's Portland Retro Gaming Expo was so much fun. They had a big event this year. I couldn't believe that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the Atari 2600. Their museum area had a huge wall of every single boxed Atari 2600 game ever made. It was a sight to see. In their console area, they had a celebration of Star Wars video games. Little did I know that the first original Star Wars movie came out in 1977 which was also the same year the Atari 2600 was released. Elvis Presley died that year. Pretty cool, huh? I played lots of games in their free play arcade as well as in their console area. The vendors had lots of games for sale as usual. I was able to buy some complete in box games that people have requested covers of. I haven't heard anything yet on when Portland is going to have their video game swap meet. I'll keep checking because they always have a swap meet as a follow up event to Portland Retro Gaming Expo. The swap meet is where I find lower prices on a lot of games. One vendor had a big bag filled with 9 empty Game Boy boxes with their manuals for $20. He also had some empty Super Nintendo boxes as well as NES boxes for $5 each. I thought it was a great deal and I took advantage of it. The vendor was so happy the boxes were going to me because I told him about this site. He knew what I was talking about because he said he uses this site too. It was so cool talking to him. Now, I present to you my 2nd Super Nintendo cover: Super Battleship. I worked on this little bits at a time before I went to Portland Retro Gaming Expo. Now it's finally here. The original box had a dash on the word "seasick". That word isn't supposed to be spelled with a dash. That mistake has been fixed. Sorry, there hasn't been a new Game Boy cover in such a long time. I will be getting back to making Game Boy covers again soon. I also have more Super Nintendo covers coming soon. Be sure to check back often. Happy gaming!

Rockabilly1983 strikes back with two more Super Nintendo covers. I have been making Game Boy covers for so many months. I decided to take a break from those and make some more Super Nintendo covers. I can't believe so many months have passed since I last posted Super Nintendo covers. Too bad the site is still broken. I hope the administrators are able to fix it and approve new covers for the main site again. Anyway, I have made my 3rd Super Nintendo cover and my 1st Super Famicom cover. I bring you the USA and Japan covers for the Super Game Boy. The site needs a better, higher quality cover of the USA Super Game Boy cover. Doing the Japanese cover was so much work. It was very challenging retyping all the Japanese writing. I did some research to find out how to identify Japanese symbols. I found a program called Capture2Text. It's a very handy program that lets you select an area of your screen and it can detect what symbols are on the screen. When you click, it gives you a popup box with the Japanese symbols it detects. This makes retyping Japanese so much easier. Just for kicks, I copied and pasted the symbols from the red bar on the back cover of the Japanese Super Game Boy to find out what it says in English. It says, "Main Functions of the Super Game Boy". Wow! I feel like I cracked a code whenever I found out what some of the Japanese writing says. After I made the full retail cover of the Japanese Super Game Boy, I looked around on Google Images to see what I could find for the Super Famicom logo. I came across one with the color circles on the left and the system name on the right. I thought this logo would be perfect.
This is the first spine logo I made in white with a black border:
When I pasted this onto the spine for the TCP retail cover, I thought, "This looks good, but, I don't care for white. It looks kind of bland."
Then I made the same spine logo in black with a white border:
Now this is more like it! I went with the black spine logo because that's what we typically use for the TCP retail covers. The logo pops out more on a black background. Both spine logos are in my Box account in the Templates folder. When I was trying to get an idea on how to make my spine logo, I looked up Super Famicom game boxes on eBay. Some of the spines had the Super Famicom logo at the top. The four color circles were in a black square with the system name underneath the square. That's what I saw when I looked at the Super Mario games. When I checked some of the Japanese exclusives, I noticed that many of them don't have the system name at the top of the spine. Enjoy the two Super Game Boy covers. Happy gaming!

Thank you, Bear78! Capture2Text is a wonderful program. I can't recommend it enough for retyping Japanese. If you need help identifying a Japanese font or any other font, use the subsection WhatTheFont on MyFonts.com.

I tried resizing some of the UGC covers I was able to find in PNG format (I was leery of the degradation that could result from repeated JPG compressions) for the collection of games I'm working on casing. This is easier for SNES, since most of the games just use a black background, with Donkey Kong Country being the only exception in my collection so far. If only it were so straightforward where N64 covers are concerned...

Hello, everyone! I'm back with 4 more Super Nintendo covers for your collections. I want to talk a little bit about the first cover for this update. Ms. Pac-Man had a grammar mistake underneath the recycling symbol. The original sentence said, "Please recycle were facilities exist." That should say, "Please recycle where facilities exist." I fixed that mistake after I typed all the text. Another thing that was wrong with the original box was the game title on the legal text. When Nintendo made the box, they forgot to add the dash between "c" and "m" on the name Ms. Pac-Man. A comma was also needed after the word "Hard" because we make one more pause on that sentence. The original box also had the letter "P" in lower-case at the beginning of the last sentence. This blows my mind on so many levels. When you start a new sentence, you always make the first letter upper-case. The last thing I found wrong was on the last sentence on the game information text. The M was lower-case instead of upper-case on the 2nd M on Ms. Pac-Man. It made me ask, "Is there a reason the M is lower-case on this one and the M is upper-case on the other four? Did Nintendo not have someone to proof-read this box?" Talking about this stuff makes me sound like an English teacher. I didn't find any grammar or spelling mistakes on the other three covers I worked on. These covers were so much fun to do. The fourth cover took the most work. I had to put in so many layers and type lots of text. I am working hard to bring you some more Super Nintendo covers. Happy gaming!

Hey, guys! I'm back with 2 more Super Nintendo covers. I bring all of you covers for the only two casino video games that were released on Super Nintendo in the USA. Vegas Stakes bring back fond childhood memories. I played this game so much growing up. I didn't know Vegas Stakes is the sequel to Vegas Dream on the NES. Vegas Stakes was also one of the Super Nintendo games you could choose to play when you purchased an hour of Super Nintendo playtime on hotel room TVs via LodgeNet. The TVs inside the rooms at Harrah's Casino in Lake Tahoe and Reno used to have a special LodgeNet Super Nintendo controller connected to the TV. You could purchase an hour of Super Nintendo playtime for $6.95 and it would be charged to your room. You could also switch from game to game no matter how much playtime you had remaining. That's how I got to play a lot of Super Nintendo games I didn't own as a kid. It was so much fun doing that when I would get tired of playing in the arcade. Now, I have an important announcement to make. I'm going on vacation with my mom tomorrow. We're going to Italy again. This time we're flying nonstop to Rome from Oakland International Airport. Although I have been to Italy lots of times as a kid, I have never been to Rome. While we're there, I am going to visit the Video Game Museum of Rome. I'm also going to see the Sistine Chapel. I've been curious about that chapel for so long. I want to see the many paintings Michelangelo did. After we spend two days in Rome, we go to Castelnuovo to stay with our family. Anyway, enjoy my newest Super Nintendo covers. I'm so thankful I finished these covers in time for my vacation. When I return in late August, I will start working on covers again. Ciao!

Have an awesome time in Rome.
Couple of tips - be prepared for the heat, it’s gonna be baking hot.
For the Sistine chapel, get there early to try and avoid the crowds. It’s an awesome sight, but it loses atmosphere when you are being herded through like cattle.
Make sure you take time out to see the coliseum. And do the audio guide. It is the most fantastic atmospheric site I’ve been to on my travels. Yes it gets busy, and it is very touristy, but you can feel the history in its walls and architecture. For me it’s the best site in Rome beyond any shadow of a doubt.
Other than that, wander. There is history everywhere. Enjoy.

Hi, guys! I am back from my Italy trip. I missed making covers for this site. I would like to say hello to sheep2001. Thank you for giving me a couple tips about Rome. What great pieces of history I saw when I took the tour bus with my mom. We didn't get the chance to see the inside of the Sistine Chapel. I also couldn't see the Video Game Museum of Rome. When we went, it was a Monday and they are closed on Monday. The next day was our flight home. We spent three days in Rome. We spent most of our time in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana because that's where most of our family lives. It takes almost 4 hours to get there by train starting from Roma Termini Station. We stay at my aunt's house. It was hot and humid! Homes in Italy don't have air conditioning. Everyone opens up their windows to get some fresh air. I haven't sweated so much in my life. During Summer in Italy, it's better to be outside instead of inside because of the humidity. I rented a bicycle in Italy for the first time. I was so excited about cycling there. It was very challenging because Italy is very hilly. When I got home to Sacramento, CA, I didn't remember how easy it is to cycle here. Most of the roads in the U.S. are flat. I always cry a little when I come home to the U.S. I especially hate to see my aunt cry. I feel happier, more alive, and freer when I'm in Italy. I still have a little bit of jet lag. It should be gone soon. I have already planned to go back in October 2020. Now, just what you guys have been waiting for: my 10th Super Nintendo cover. I bring you Championship Pool. I have more covers on the way. I'm stoked to see that covers are getting approved for the main site again. That means the site has been fixed. Yay! It has been half a year since covers got approved and put on the main site. I missed seeing that. Some of my other covers are still waiting to be approved for the main site. It's worth the wait. I'll see you guys next time and I'm happy to be back!

Hello, everyone! Rockabilly1983 here! It's been over two months since I made covers for this site. So much has been going on with me besides attending this year's Portland Retro Gaming Expo in October. The expo was so much fun and I picked up a lot of boxed games for scanning purposes. I found out that there's going to be a video game swap meet on January 19, 2019. I'm very happy I got that information at the expo. I was relieved to find out that it's not gone. I wonder what I'm going to find when I go to the video game swap meet. My old Dell Dimension XPS with Windows XP was starting to fail and I bought a new Dell XPS with Windows 10. I also had to buy a new printer. My old Lexmark printer wasn't compatible with Windows 10. I had that printer since 2005 together with the old Dell Dimension XPS. At first, I hated Windows 10 because of all the changes. Thankfully, with the power of the Internet, I learned where to find the control panel and many other things. I also had to get used to my new widescreen HD monitor. I transferred all my video game covers, fonts, vectors, and other things to my new computer using a USB flash drive. It took around 5 hours. My CD/DVD drive on my new computer would not open when I would push the eject button. I couldn't have a new computer with an optical drive that won't open. I called Dell and they sent me a shipping box to send the computer to the tech depot. The CD/DVD drive was defective and they replaced it with a new one. Once I got my computer back, I was so happy that the CD/DVD drive opened up when I pushed the eject button. I was excited about installing my new printer. Before I bought it, I did some research to find out what printer is best for printing artwork, including covers, and the best one was the Canon Pixma inkjet printer. I decided to buy the Canon Pixma TR7520 inkjet printer and I am obsessed with it. It's one of Canon's newest printers. The scanner on this printer can scan up to 1,200 dots per inch. The detail is so sharp scanned that high. I scanned one of the boxes that was still waiting to be made into a cover. The colors on the raw scan were so accurate to what I saw on the original box. I had to re-scan over 40 boxes I haven't made into covers yet after witnessing that. The old Lexmark scanner wasn't very accurate with the colors. When I worked with those raw scans, I had to do a lot of manual color correcting in Photoshop by looking at the original box. With the Canon scanner, I don't have to do so much color correcting, but I still look at the original box to make sure the colors are right. The printer can also do duplex (2-sided) printing. If you're using clear cases and you want to print an inlay on the other side of the paper, you can do that with this printer. Canon is known for making the most color accurate printers, scanners, and cameras. Now, here's the exciting part. I decided to order a pack of 50 sheets of Paperworks 48lb semi-gloss legal size (8.5" x 14) paper. I printed the NES cover Fester's Quest. I couldn't believe how beautiful the cover looked! The blacks were so deep and the cover looked like it was printed at a professional print shop. Before you print a cover on semi-gloss paper, you need to change the paper type on your printer preferences, not just the paper size. I am so happy I got a Canon inkjet printer and semi-gloss paper. Before I got that, I was printing my covers at FedEx Office using their self-service high end Canon laser printers. I was printing them on Hammermill 28lb Color Copy Digital Legal Size Paper. Then once I bought the Canon Pixma TR7520 inkjet printer and semi-gloss paper, whoa... big huge difference! No wonder they recommend inkjet printers for printing artwork, including photos. If you guys don't have a Canon Pixma inkjet printer, buy one! Canon also makes their ink cartridges in XL size so you get twice as much ink per cartridge. Now that I have covered everything that has happened, I am going to talk about my latest Super Nintendo covers. I made the covers for the two worst Mario games: Mario is Missing! and Mario's Time Machine. I first worked on Mario is Missing! while I was waiting for my new Dell XPS computer to arrive. I had to put the cover on hold for some time because I wanted to re-scan the box with the new Canon printer. I found out by accident that there are two versions of Mario is Missing! There is different information text on the front and back of both versions. The 2nd version has a Mario Discovery Series logo. The 1st version lacked that. After that, I checked Mario's Time Machine on eBay to see if there was a different version of the box art. There is no 2nd version. Enjoy my first three most color accurate covers. Happy gaming!

Good to have you back! ;D
That's a lot of stuff going on! Maybe enough for some paragraph breaks ;)
If you're feeling crazy, you can try manually setting your new scanner to an even higher DPI! I've found that some scanners can support higher resolutions than what's officially advertised or exposed in the tools. My new scanner advertises up to 1200dpi, but I've been successfully using it at 2400! It won't do descreening at that resolution, but at that point it's not really necessary anyway.
...Not that you would really need to try it. The new covers already look super sharp. Way better than those two games probably deserve!
-
Thank you, flamepanther!
I'm very happy to be back! ;D
I tried changing the output resolution to 1,600 dpi by typing in the number in my scanner utility. I ran a test scan and it worked! I didn't think scanners could scan at a higher dpi than what they advertise. I thought you could only click on the output resolution options.
Thank you for the kind words on the covers!

What's up, everybody? I can't believe how long it has been since I made a Super Nintendo cover. Time goes by fast, doesn't it? I remade Super Mario All-Stars. I decided to do that after seeing what the cover first looked like when I scanned the box with the old Lexmark scanner. With my Canon scanner, the colors on the covers are better and more accurate now. I recreated the background gradient on the front. I didn't do that when I first made this cover. My original post for Super Mario All-Stars is on Page 1. The download links have been updated too. The old preview image is still there for documentation purposes. I decided to take a break from making NES covers and start making Super Nintendo covers again. I haven't made that many Super Nintendo covers. I plan to remake all of my old Super Nintendo covers, except Mario is Missing! and Mario's Time Machine. I made those two covers with my current Canon scanner back in November 2018. Stay tuned for more Super Nintendo covers. Happy gaming!

Hi, guys! I am back with another remake. Didn't think I would be back so soon, huh? Well, here I am with Championship Pool. I can't believe how much better the colors look. The blacks are also much deeper now. I tell you. Canon is the best! If you want to see the old Championship Pool cover, it's at the top of this page. I updated the links on my original post because I deleted the old cover. I kept the old preview image there for documentation purposes. If you already cased up Championship Pool with the old cover, you can always throw away the old Championship Pool cover and replace it with my newly improved cover. I'm so excited about making Super Nintendo covers again. I have more on the way. Please take care and stay safe, everyone!

Looking for a bunch more of these. Is there a master thread somewhere like there was for the NES CGC?

No, this is it currently.

Looking for a bunch more of these. Is there a master thread somewhere like there was for the NES CGC?
No, this is it currently.
Any chance of starting one? I still go back to that thread to work on stuff. I also know there was some discussion years ago of uploading the CGC covers to the main site... will that still happen eventually?
-
Any chance of starting one?
Yes.
For both the Vertical and Horizontal versions.
Same goes for N64.
But first we need enough very high quality covers.
Shenske personally polished all those NES ones to perfection.
I also know there was some discussion years ago of uploading the CGC covers to the main site... will that still happen eventually?
Probably.

Hi, guys! I'm back with three more covers. Here is Vegas Stakes and Super Caesars Palace. I originally made these covers back in July 2018. However, I didn't know there were two versions of Vegas Stakes. When I first made Vegas Stakes back in July 2018, I didn't know that I made Version 2. Version 2 has an ESRB rating K-A for Kids to Adults. Version 1 has no ESRB rating. The text next to the bullets on the back are slightly different too. Sometime last year, I took my youngest nephew to Fair Game. It was his first time going to this video game store and he bought some games with his own money he saved up. I bought a complete in box copy of Vegas Stakes while we were there because I wanted to remake the cover. I realized I bought Version 1 later on that night. I had to check eBay for Version 2 of Vegas Stakes. That one is easy to spot because of the ESRB rating on the front. As a special added bonus, I also scanned and restored my first three Super Nintendo promo posters. I'll tell you about those:
The first one I worked on came with Version 1 of Vegas Stakes. One side had a promo for Nintendo Power Super Power Club and the other side had a Super Games promo. The Super Games promo poster took the most work. It has so much text. Proofreading everything after typing takes a lot of time. I don't understand why Nintendo used two different Univers fonts on the Super Games promo poster for the information text on each game. The poster that came with Super Caesars Palace had a Virgin Games promo poster. The Virgin Games poster and Nintendo Power Super Power Club poster took me two weeks to do. The Super Games poster took me 12 days to do. Posters are the most challenging to restore because they are so big. On top of that, I have to scan them in six parts and stitch them together in Photoshop. When I was retyping the text for Super Slam Dunk on the Virgin Games promo poster, I noticed "professional" was misspelled. The "n" and "a" were reversed. This is the first time I found a spelling mistake on a promo poster. The apostrophe on "Lakers" was before the "s". That is incorrect. We're talking about the Lakers which is the name of the basketball team. It talks about the announcer for the LA Lakers and the apostrophe needs to be after the "s"; not before it. That's another mistake I fixed. How did Nintendo miss that? Did they not have someone to proofread everything before they printed this poster? We will never know.
The links on my original post with Vegas Stakes and Super Caesars Palace have been updated with new links. The old covers have been deleted and replaced with my newly improved covers. Version 1 of Vegas Stakes is brand new in case you were wondering. Version 2 of Vegas Stakes and Super Caesars Palace are remakes. Many more new vector logos have been added to my vector logos folder for anyone who needs them. I'm thrilled to be sharing these covers and posters! Please take care and stay safe, everybody!

What's up, everybody? I have a new Super Nintendo cover this time. I know how much all of you have been wanting to see a new Super Nintendo cover and not a remake. This cover also comes with instructions. That's right. You get a complete package for Hal's Hole in One Golf here. I bought this game at the video game swap meet in Portland, Oregon in January this year. This coming weekend is supposed to be the weekend of Portland Retro Gaming Expo. Sadly, it has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. This is the first time I can't go to Portland Retro Gaming Expo due to cancellation. Last month, California Extreme was cancelled too. Well, there's always next year. The video game swap meet was the only annual event I could attend this year. It was nice while it lasted. Don't get too sad, guys. Things will get better someday. All we can do is look on the bright side. Let's get back to my cover update.
When I got Hal's Hole in One Golf, I was surprised to find that the instructions were on a foldout poster. HAL America did the same thing with Rollerball on the NES. I did Rollerball and its instruction poster back in June 2019. Hal's Hole in One Golf is one of my childhood favorites. The cover and instruction poster I worked on had the most spelling and grammar mistakes. This game was released in 1991; the same year the Super Nintendo Entertainment System was released. I started wondering if they rushed this game. Here are all the mistakes I corrected:
"Practice" on the back of the cover was misspelled. The word was missing a "c" between "a" and "t". I added the missing "c".
"Practice Mode" had a lower-case "p" and "m" on one part of the information text. I put in a capital "P" and "M".
"Official" was misspelled on the box art and the instruction poster. It was missing an "i" between "c" and "a". I added the missing "i".
"Gameplay" was spelled as two words twice on the instruction poster. I removed the space and spelled it as one word.
The first sentence talking about the Practice Mode on the instruction poster was missing a comma. I knew it needed a comma, so I added it.
Under "Number of Players", they had a lower-case "c" on "controller 1" and an upper-case "C" on "Controller 2". I changed the lower-case "c" to an upper case "c" on "Controller 1".
One of the sentences had the word "button" with a capital B where it talked about the Start button. I changed it to a lower case "b".
I couldn't believe how many mistakes I found on the cover and instruction poster. This is a new record for mistakes I fixed. Be sure to check back often. I will have some more Super Nintendo covers up soon. Enjoy the new cover and instruction poster. As usual, happy gaming!

Hi, guys! I'm back with another Super Nintendo cover. Before I get to it, I need to tell you one last mistake I fixed on Hal's Hole in Golf. I remembered this two days later.
The mistake I fixed was on the instruction poster. The mistake was in the section "Mode Select". The last mode on the list originally said "Memory Play". I don't know why it said that. The mode is called "Memory Shot"; not "Memory Play". I fixed the mode name that was in bold. I also added "Shot" on the last sentence to make it say "Memory Shot Mode" instead of "Memory Mode".
I have a real treat to share. I was playing Hal's Hole in One Golf on Wednesday August 12, 2020. I got my first Hole in One! I flipped out and couldn't believe what happened. Want to see a replay of my shot? Enter this password so you can watch it:

Now onto the new Super Nintendo cover!
Many people have been wanting a better, higher quality cover of Super Punch-Out!! for years. It's finally here! Everyone will now be able to case up Super Punch-Out!! with a fully restored cover. This cover wasn't too hard to do. I traced the Super Punch-Out!! logo and the Only For Nintendo logo into a vector. They are available in my Vector Logos folder for anyone who needs them. The original box had no spelling or grammar mistakes. I first played Super Punch-Out!! when I was 14 back in 1997. I played it in the hotel room at Harrah's in Lake Tahoe. They used to have Super Nintendo Playtime you could purchase for $6.95 through LodgeNet on the TV. The price was for one hour of playtime. Harrah's in Reno had the same thing in their hotel rooms. In 1999, I think, LodgeNet replaced the Super Nintendo games with Nintendo 64 games. When I would get tired of playing in the arcade, I would go up to the room and play some Super Nintendo games. I had to ask my parents for permission to purchase an hour of Super Nintendo Playtime. They always said yes because that little room charge was always comped. I love talking about my childhood memories. Well, I better let you go so you can download the Super Punch-Out!! cover. Happy gaming!

Rockabilly1983 strikes back with 4 covers and 4 posters. This is my biggest Super Nintendo post and it packs an incredible punch! Here is the Mortal Kombat trilogy! There are four Mortal Kombat games on the Super Nintendo. Now you can case up all four of your Mortal Kombat games with my fully restored covers. Two posters came with Mortal Kombat. One side had Mortal Kombat artwork and the other side had a Super NES Blockbusters promo. Two posters also came with Mortal Kombat 3. One side had Mortal Kombat 3 artwork and the other side had Doom artwork. I took extra care to make sure I got the posters cropped with the exact same size in pixels. The hardest poster I worked on was the Super NES Blockbusters promo poster. Removing the text from a background that has artwork takes a lot of time. If the background was a solid color, it would be easier to do. "Flamethrower" was originally spelled as two words on the information text for Alien 3. I removed the space so it's now spelled as one word. A flamethrower is a type of gun. That's why it's spelled as one word, just like "shotgun".
Did you know? One of the fighters in Mortal Kombat is named Raiden. That is the original spelling of his name. You see that in the arcade version. When Mortal Kombat was released for home consoles, the spelling of his name was changed to Rayden. I don't understand why they changed the spelling. Maybe it was to avoid trademark infringement with another arcade game called Raiden. Raiden is a vertical scrolling shooter game and it was released in the arcade in 1990. When Mortal Kombat was released in the arcade in 1992, it became very controversial. I wasn't aware that the government was trying to ban Mortal Kombat back then. I was 9 years old at that time. Children don't watch the news. I don't watch the news because I don't like to hear about bad things. My dad was the same way.
I'm so stoked I made the covers for the Super Nintendo Mortal Kombat trilogy! I wonder why they used a roman numeral for the sequel. The third game, and every game after that, has an arabic numeral. When you finish off your opponent, be sure to perform a fatality. There are so many of them to try. You will need to know the button combinations to do one. Happy gaming!

I'm so stoked I made the covers for the Super Nintendo Mortal Kombat trilogy! I wonder why they used a roman numeral for the sequel.
Well I guess that depends on what the official name of Mortal Kombat X is. Mortal Kombat 10 or Mortal Kombat Ex.

Hey, all you gamers out there! I realized I have now made 20 Super Nintendo covers after I posted the four Mortal Kombat covers and the four posters. I didn't think I would be back so fast. Here is my 21st cover for Zoop. There is a question on the back of the box that made me laugh. It says, "Why are you wasting time reading the box when you could be playing the game?!" The font used on the question is Blur Light Regular. Funny name, cool font. I was surprised to see they got "gameplay" right by spelling it as one word. Other covers have it spelled as two words. I fix the spelling if it's spelled as two words. I have four ESRB ratings in vector format in my Vector Logos folder for anyone who needs them. I will be adding more vector ESRB ratings as I get new ones to trace. If you got tired of fighting in Mortal Kombat and want to exercise your brain, play Zoop. Zoop will tease your brain. When I played this game for the first time back in January, I got so hooked I couldn't put the controller down. I never thought this puzzle game could be so fun. I have more Super Nintendo covers on the way. Happy gaming!

Rockabilly1983 strikes back with five more covers. Four covers are new and one is a remake. The remake is Super Battleship. A poster came with Super Battleship when I looked up copies for sale. As a special added bonus, the Super Battleship poster is also here. I found out that a 2nd version of Super Battleship exists when I was looking at copies of this game on eBay. Knowing what version of Super Battleship you may have is a little tricky. I checked both copies of Super Battleship and I found some differences. Here they are:
Both cartridge labels have the oval Seal of Quality. The round Nintendo seal is not used on any Super Nintendo games. If your cartridge label says "Made in Japan" in the bottom left corner, you have Version 1. If your cartridge label says "Assembled in Mexico" in the bottom left corner, you have Version 2.
There are two differences on the spine. The spine on Version 1 has the address for The Software Toolworks together with "Made in Japan". The spine on Version 2 has no address and says "Assembled in Mexico".
The are two versions of the instruction manual too. If the cover of the manual is in color, that's Version 1. If the cover of the manual is in black and white, that's Version 2. Now you will know which manual you will need to buy to add to your copy of Super Battleship.
The last two differences are on the back. The legal text is slightly different on the two covers. Version 2 has the Milton Bradley logo. Version 1 lacked that logo. The front artwork is exactly the same on both boxes.
Now that the remake is out of the way, I'm going to talk about the new covers. You guys have been waiting a long time for some new covers. Your patience paid off. The new covers are Monopoly, The Chessmaster, and Pac-Attack. These are covers I had on hold for a long time. I noticed the main site only has a custom vertical cover of Monopoly. We need the full horizontal retail cover too. The cover of The Chessmaster on the main site is the German version. The site needs the USA cover too. Pac-Attack is a fun puzzle game. I first played Pac-Attack on Pac-Man Collection for Game Boy Advance. The back of Monopoly had "best-selling" spelled as one word. I fixed that mistake by adding a dash. That's how it's always been spelled. I turned 37 on Sunday October 11. I can't believe how much time has passed since I started working from home on Wednesday April 1, 2020. All the annual events I go to got cancelled except the video game swap meet in January. Last month, I went to Reno and it wasn't the same. Gambling is not fun now. After I took a break from gambling, I went to Club Cal Neva to play some of the video games in that casino's arcade. It was the saddest sight I ever saw. When I got to the arcade, all the arcade games and pinball machines were turned off for social distancing. Looking at the machines just made me want to cry. I was so close to playing Ms. Pac-Man and Jr. Pac-Man. I can't tell you how much I have missed going to an arcade. I did enjoy my time in Reno anyway. Well, head on down below and download those covers! Be sure to check back often. I will have some more new covers up soon. Happy gaming!

Hi everyone! I can't believe I have been gone for so long. Many of you have probably been wondering where I was. I have been very busy working on lots of covers and this is now my biggest post. It beats my old post with the Mortal Kombat covers and posters by two. Here are six new covers and four new posters. They are all sports covers. Many people are not attached to sports games. There are just too many of them. However, there are some people out there that really like sports video games. Two of the six covers here are remakes. The remakes are NCAA Basketball and NBA Showdown. I updated my old post on Page 1 with new links. I deleted the old NBA Showdown and NCAA Basketball covers. I kept the old preview image there for documentation purposes. It's amazing how much sharper and more color accurate the remakes are. Two of the four posters are for NBA Live 95. The poster has all kinds of strategy plays. The copy I bought of NBA Showdown had a poster with EA Sports artwork on one side. The other side had an Electronic Arts Promo. Those are the other two posters I did.
It took me over a month to do all this. I put in over 100 hours of work. I fixed lots of spelling and grammar mistakes I could find too.
Something awesome happened to me around 1:30 AM on Halloween. I was playing Triple Play Video Poker at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, NV. I was playing the same video poker machine for a little over 4 hours. The game I play is Jacks or Better. I know the strategy so well. I had a Queen and Ace of hearts to hold. On the first hand, I got the 10, King, and Jack of hearts for a Royal Flush. The 2nd hand had nothing and the third hand had two pair. I flipped out and yelled, "Royal Flush! Yeah!!!" I won a jackpot of $2,005. I was playing half dollars. Before I hit the Royal Flush, my mom came over and watched me play a little bit. She was so excited and happy to see me hit the Royal Flush in person. I remember when I hit my first Royal Flush. It was in 2005, I think. I was in my early 20s. I had to play the same quarter triple play video poker machine for 22 hours before I could hit it. It happened at Horizon Casino in Lake Tahoe. That was a $1,000 jackpot. Unfortunately, Horizon Casino is no longer there. It has been over 10 years since I last visited Lake Tahoe. My parents loved going to Lake Tahoe and would always play at Harrah's when I was a kid.
Head on down and get those covers and posters. Before I go, I would like to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving. See you next time!

Hey, all you gamers! I'm back once again with another cover. Surprised to see me back so soon? I'm glad to be back. It's The Chessmaster again. I didn't know there was another version of The Chessmaster until I looked at copies for sale on eBay. I came across a complete copy that had a Chessmaster poster. When I saw that, I thought, "I gotta buy that one. I want to make the other version and the poster too." When I got the game, I looked at the two cartridges and instruction manuals very carefully. I didn't find any differences. The front and spine on the box are exactly the same. There are two differences on the back of the box. Version 1 has "Programmable Series" in a white box with black text and the recycle symbol is upside down. Version 2 has "All-Family Series" in a red box with white text and the recycle symbol is upright. You might be wondering how I know which cover is Version 1 and which cover is Version 2.
Here's what I did: I took a look at the inner box flaps to check the code. These are unique codes Nintendo put on each game.
The code for Version 1 is SNS-CH-USA.
The code for Version 2 is SNS-CH-USA-1.
I checked my Version 2 copy of Vegas Stakes and the code on the inner box flap is SNS-VS-USA-1. That's how I figured it out. I updated my 2nd to last post by adding "Version 2" in parenthesis to the title above the preview image. I did the same thing for the image name. Can you believe this is my 30th Super Nintendo cover? I feel like I have accomplished so much. Enjoy Version 1 of The Chessmaster and the poster. Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I don't think Thanksgiving and Christmas are going to be the same this year. We have so much to be thankful for. You know what I'm thankful for? I'm thankful that no one in my family has caught the coronavirus, including me. I'm also thankful that I have a good job, a home, good health, and family. Happy Thanksgiving!

What's up, everybody? I have been making only Game Boy covers since 2021 started. I decided to take a break from Game Boy covers and make some Super Nintendo covers again. I made three Super Game Boy covers. The USA and Japan covers are remakes. They are more color accurate and sharper now. I originally made those back in July 2018.
The new Super Game Boy cover is the most exciting because it's the Italian version. That's right. I made my very first Italian video game cover. I have been wanting to do one of those for so long. Italian Super Nintendo games are not easy to come by on eBay. I'm glad I went in and bought the only complete in box copy of the Italian Super Game Boy. It came all the way from Albania. The Italian Super Game Boy was the most difficult to restore because the original box had a small rip on the front artwork. I had to scan some of the artwork on the front cover of the instruction manual. It took me so many tries to resize the layer and line it up with the ripped artwork. That's what I had to do to restore it. I can't read Italian, so I asked my mom for help. She read all the text on the box and didn't find any spelling or grammar mistakes. She can speak Italian and English. The artwork Italy used for the Super Game Boy is so cool. It's my most favorite of the three Super Game Boy covers.
When I started working on the Japanese Super Game Boy cover, I didn't remember how to type Japanese. I had to read my old post on Page 1 to jog my memory. Since I have a Windows 10 Dell computer, I can use the latest version of Capture2Text. While I was retyping the Japanese symbols, I would enter some of the Japanese writing into Google Translate. I felt like I managed to crack a code when I would find out what the symbols say in English. If you look at the old cover on Page 1 and then look at my newly improved cover here, you will see a big difference, including the rainbow colors. As a special added bonus, I scanned both sides of the little instruction card and restored it. I also took extra care to make sure the number of pixels were exactly the same when I changed the resolution to 300 dpi for both sides. I didn't make the instruction card three years ago because the first Japanese Super Game Boy I bought didn't have it. It only had the instruction manual. I remade the Super Famicom spine logo for the TCP Retail cover. I redrew the four different color circles and got the colors much closer to the box's original colors. I also kept the Japanese symbols under the words "Super Famicom" constrained so they are not stretched.
That was a lot of information, wasn't it? It took me a month and a half to do all these covers and the instruction card. It's amazing how fast time goes by. Please enjoy the three Super Game Boy covers. Happy gaming!

Thank you, marioxb! You're in luck! I have not one, but two versions of the Super Game Boy 2. They are coming soon. You want custom English translated versions of the European and Japanese covers? That's a neat idea! I think I'll try doing that someday.

Hi, everybody! I'm back and better than ever! This is it! The most requested Super Famicom cover many people have been wanting. It's the Super Game Boy 2! You get not one, but two versions of the box art. As an added bonus, you also get both sides of the Super Game Boy 2 instruction card. I took extra care to make sure both sides of the Super Game Boy 2 instruction card were cropped at the exact same size as the Super Game Boy instruction card. Wow! Retyping all the Japanese symbols on the covers and the instruction card was hard work. I had to edit the spacing on each Japanese symbol in the text boxes. Retyping Japanese symbols is hard work; much more than retyping letters. Getting the Japanese symbols with Capture2Text makes retyping Japanese much easier. Sometimes Capture2Text can give the wrong symbol. When that happens, I use this online Japanese keyboard for certain Japanese symbols: https://www.lexilogos.com/keyboard/hiragana.htm. The website has three Japanese keyboards: Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Japan has three writing systems. This is what makes Japanese one of the hardest languages to learn. Japan also has a 4th writing system called Romaji, but it's rarely used. Romaji consists of letters instead of symbols.
I found out by accident that Japan made two versions of the Super Game Boy 2 box art when I was looking at different copies for sale on eBay. When I saw that, I thought, "There are two versions? I better buy both of them." Version 1 has a Game Boy Pocket on the back. Version 2 has a Game Boy Color on the back. There are minor differences in the Japanese writing on the back if you look closely at the two covers. The Cover Project has been needing this Japanese exclusive cover for many years. Everyone can finally case up their Super Game Boy 2. It will look great on your shelf, no matter which cover you use. Well, I better let you go so you can download the cover of your choice and the instruction card. Happy gaming!

Hi, everyone! I'm back with three more covers. I did it! I remade my last two old Super Nintendo covers. The remakes are Ms. Pac-Man and Bugs Bunny: Rabbit Rampage. I made two versions of Bugs Bunny: Rabbit Rampage. The differences between Version 1 and Version 2 are in the legal text and the text to the right of the barcode. When I first bought a complete in box copy of Bugs Bunny: Rabbit Rampage back in June 2018, I guess I got lucky and bought Version 2. I looked everywhere on eBay to see if there were any copies of Version 2 and I didn't find any. I never checked all the grammar on Bugs Bunny: Rabbit Rampage the first time I made the cover. I found out that "sidesplitting" is not spelled with a dash. It's spelled as one word. The original box had a dash on that word and I removed it. Look at the old covers on Page 1. You'll see a huge difference in the color and sharpness. Going from 600 dpi Lexmark scans to 1,200 dpi Canon scans makes a huge difference.
I feel I have accomplished so much with remaking my last two old Super Nintendo covers. Every Super Nintendo cover I make after this will now be brand new. No more remakes. Now that all of my Super Nintendo covers have been made with my current Canon scanner, I don't know what Super Nintendo covers I'm going to make next. I'm open to requests. Happy gaming!

Hello!
I live in Germany and want to buy some Shadowfox Cases. Therefore I've picked up some covers on this site which I want to convert to the CGC size.
I'm a noob on this matter and I don't have a clue how to convert UGC Covers to CGC Cover size. But I want to learn it! :)
First question: How cmplicated is it? And where and how do I start? ;D

Quite easy with SNES covers.
Usually just making the spine 5mm wider is good enough and gives great results.
I assume you only have Paint that came with Windows.
I'll do this tutorial bit over the top so the conversion is bit easier to do without you ending up with missing pieces and easier to see what we are doing.
Easiest way to do it is to take UGC cover of ours and open it in Paint.
Go to properties and make the canvas 100-200 pixels wider.
Also open two empty Paint windows.
Make a separate copy of the spine (copy spine and put it in one of the empty windows).
Make a copy that has the front and roughly half of the spine (CUT this time and put it in one of the empty windows).
Our covers are 300DPI, so 5 mm is roughly 60 pixels.
Make 60 pixel wide purple (for easier to see it in a moment) rectangle in place where you just cut the big part away.
Make it exactly as high as the cover is (you can make it in pieces).
Now paste the big pieces you cut away back so you end up with cover that looks like the original but with wider spine with purple stripe going down it.
You can now paint the stripe black and cover the red Super Nintendo logo, title, publishers logo and the bottom Nintendo logo on the spine with black.
Do some touch-ups (connect the white stripe that is under the red Super Nintendo logo as well as the gray part above the bottom Nintendo logo).
Now copy the red Super Nintendo logo, title, publishers logo and the bottom Nintendo logo from the spine you copied in the beginning.
And that's it you have now converted UGC in to CGC.
Once you get hang of the things you can stream line the process.
For example with certain covers you can simply widen the spine in two cuts and 30 pixel pieces going down just inside white side parts of the red Nintendo logo.
And getting better image editing program, for example Paint.net or GIMP (both free) helps.
For example with Paint.net I would just open the image, duplicate the image in to two identical layers, widen the bottom layer by 60 pixels (cut image in half and move both halves 30 pixels in opposite directions), delete all but the spine from top layer and then merging the layers in to single layer image.
Hope this helps you getting started.
It is easier than I made it sound. ;)
