So I feel a little weird posting this as I am not in this for the money or personal gain BUT I really want to finish this NES cover set.
If you guys/gals would like to contribute to this but do not have boxes to scan for me I am accepting donations to try and purchase the boxes.
Don't feel pressured to do this but any help would be appreciated. My paypal email is Shenske37@hotmail.com. I cannot afford to purchase the boxes needed solely with my own funds. Once I have scanned the box I will sell it in an attempt to reinvest the money into more boxes. If you do decide to donate please write a small message to me that it is towards purchasing NES boxes (I use paypal a lot and would not want to assume incorrectly).
Any help is appreciated (even $1)! With a little bit of luck, and a lot of work, we can have a COMPLETE NES cover set FOR EVERYONE and FREE TO DOWNLOAD! ;D

I too would think version 3 is the closest judging from label.
#2 I think too is cover as if you zoom the smaller image in you can see blue border (it's part of double image with another box)..
Yeah, I'm pretty sure 2 and 3 are the same thing. 3 is the box and both twos are different images of the same cart.

Just bought 28. Ultimate Stuntman (Camerica). Ugh, Shenske, dang it... By the looks of this guy though, there is a STAR cut out of the box (and looks like to be universal on each box)

The scans will work just fine, thank you. The 'King of Kings' is unfortunately the wrong boxart but it is an upgrade compared to existing cover I have. The King of Kings I am hoping for has a Gold-Brown box with a man on a camel jumping through the front of the box. Could you possibly scan the Spiritual Warfare box with the spine of the box facing the other way? If not, it's not the end of the world. When the spine is just to the left of the front artwork it is easier to make a conforming piece of art when it bleeds over the edge.

Thanks for all the boxes, this is amazing. All the Camerica single release boxes have the star cut out of the front to my knowledge. I have been able to recreate some of the art in the missing area or I just leave the star there. It's no biggie, I've gotten used to it.
I cannot for the life of me tell what that GREY sprite is on the bottom left of Microlight Combat. Nothing shoots to the RIGHT except you, and it looks like a bomb, but I have replayed the level about 50 times and cannot come up with what that object is. So I just made it a missile...

600 DPI with Descreen is a must. I'm just going out with 1200 DPI and 2400 DPI because my scanner can take itScanning at higher than 600 DPI can create it's ow problems with image quality so be careful.

Either way is completely fine by me, whatever you prefer.
Don't stress it too much. Making it on point to what is actually in the game is completely fine by me. Don't worry about editing it to whatever beta version was captured before.

Well now... that was a fun challenge... every screen shot had remnants of the beta version of the game.
Screen 1) Very easy to point out differences
Screen 2) This text was not anywhere in the game. Also, the letter "Q" was not in any screen, so I had to do a ROM to SPRITE loader to find the correct Q :D
Screen 3) Oh man... well... you can only move LEFT and RIGHT... not DIAGONAL... that... and the boat is completely different. Oh, and the enemies are not in the game either. And the dock was just wonky. Freehanded the player and enemies
Screen 4) Clear differences. Only "hard to spot" change was that the ground diagnonals were at a different angle than in game, but nothing that skewing cant fix.

Chiller - was released by American Game Carts Incorprated. But in AGCI's early years, when their mother company, ShareData was getting into NES programming, they licensed all development tools from Color Dreams, including the cartridge design.Before American Game Carts was formed, it seems that ShareData had plans to use Color Dreams cart design for their releases, and a small production run of Chiller cartridges were made. Exactly how many carts ShareData had Color Dreams manufacture is unknown. The game doesn't seem to be any different from the first batch of AGCI Chiller carts, the game says ShareData on the titlescreen. The product number on the label, 700376 changed when the game was manufactured using AGCI's own cart design, to 700087. So far around 5-10 of these (product number 700376) carts have been found (unconfirmed).

That said there are 2 cases I would love to get (one is a repro so I understand why it wasn't made in the first place).I adapted an older UGC FF3 cover (the "US"-styled cover) to match Shensuke's NES CGC covers, and also adapted a Famicom-styled cover into an FF3 English custom. Shenske, I don't... think.... there is a box of Gretzky without the logo... this cart does have what you are looking for, and I will scan that too, but if there IS a box without the logo, then that is rare AF.
I'm noticing 2 things with some of these CGC covers being uploaded to the site.
1. Some of the CGC covers are replacing the original UGC covers we had on the site. Shouldn't we still be keeping the original UGC covers seeing that this is still our main source for casing NES games? I just noticed this with Break Thru, which we no longer have a UGC cover for.
2. "Some" of these CGC covers are being uploaded with minor modification to the original UGC cover, yet being uploaded crediting whoever did the CGC conversion instead of the original creator of the UGC version used to make the CGC cover. Unless significant modification was made to the original UGC cover, the original creators name should stay on the cover IMO (this has always been my personal rule when making and adding retail spine versions of covers made by other artists). And if significant modification was made, we might as well update the original UGC version while we're at it since there's little work involved in doing so.
Just my two cents...

The U.S. edition of Holy Diver was just released for people who preordered the collector's edition. I got my copy in the mail yesterday and scanned it this afternoon. I'll put up a quick and dirty cover that I'm throwing together for my own use just to have something right away, but I'll leave the "real" cover to the pro's here. There's a whole lot of text and some subtle grey-on-black graphics that I'm not going to be able to get quite right.

Yeah that's true. Let me see if I can get that a little better and I will re-upload. I always have a tough time getting them straight as my scanner doesn't do edge to edge.
My Final Fantasy XIV subscription just ended (It's a long story for another place) and that has been eating up a crapload of my time (porting items from a banned PS3 account to the new virgin account).
I got my progress back onto SMB2, but I did lose everything on TMNT Tournament Fighters. Will work on those soon after... converting Super8 film to digital (too much going on IRL).
In the meantime, I repurchased Tecmo Cup Soccer Game (as this one was near mint). If we need another scan of it, please let me know. Ill have the manual on this one, will most likely scan that artwork too.

Let's Finish the CGC NES Cover Collection!
Hello Everyone,
As i'm sure you all know I have made ~800 NES covers for the Nintendo Custom Game Case (CGC). 800 covers EVERY game right? Unfortunately no it does not ... BUT we are getting close. I do have scans for ~10 more covers that are not on the list but I have not made covers for yet (those are not on this list). Below is a list of games that I still need scans for.
If you are able to help in completing this project 1. THANKS!, 2. Please scan @600dpi and weight down your box on your scanner w/ heavy books
