Could someone make a DVD case cover for Kartia Word of Fate???
thanks

Tisk, tisk, not very good at reading the "how to make a request" info are we? :)
Even so, I did a bit of digging on the interwebs. There aren't any raw scans uploaded for the game and I wasn't able to find anything very nice quality elsewhere either. I did find a decent image and played with it for a minute, but despite being one of the biggest I've found for any game, it's stil not going to turn out well.
If you have the game and can get some 600dpi scans I'd be more than happy to put something together. From the images I found, it seems to be a pretty simple project. Blue swirly background with a girl (who was very easy to cut out in photoshop) and text in a a generic font. You didn't specify, but I assume you want US stuff.
As a side note, I had never heard of this game, but the artwork was very obviously Amano's. It's amazing how similar the character art I found is to stuff from Final Fantasy 6. The girl on the front is almost Terra, guy I found is almost Locke, and another is almost Gau. :P

it must be NTSC - as this was the PAL release:

Sorry for not requesting properly, what did I miss?
But yes, North American stuff is what I am looking for.
And I can't do any scans because I only own the game disc.
And yeah, I noticed some of the similarity in characters developed by Atlus and Square, like Terra and Locke, who were you thinking looked like Gau? But I think these companies have actually tossed ideas around with one another, or either they are pirating from one another. If you have played Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tacticss you will know what I mean. There are some strikingly similarities.
Anyways, does anyone own this game that can upload some hi-quality scans???

"The Legend of Kartia. It is best known for the work of its art designer, Yoshitaka Amano, who had previously worked on the Final Fantasy series" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kartia
Also, Final Fantasy Tactics was made by the same key former members of Quest Corp., chiefly Yasumi Matsuno, that had made Tactics Ogre/Ogre Battle. Square-Enix had bought out Quest Corp. later on:

The same could be said of the Fire Emblem series and relative unknown series in the western world: Tear Ring Saga: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tear_Ring_Saga

Vicman had me confused for a second. I was like "whoa omg I need this, the FFTactics/OgreBattle guys did it!" then I realized he was just commenting on the "developers pirating off each other" comment. :(
But yes, the sad truth is that Quest made Tactics Ogre and the guys who worked on it quit soon after and went to Square. They then made a exactly duplicate game, Final Fantasy Tactics. And while I certainly believe FF Tactics is an amazing game, I think it's sad that it gets all the credit when Tactics Ogre came first. Quest didn't last long after that. The Ogre series continued with the N64 game and a GBA game, and then Square bought what was left of them. To make matters worse, they haven't used the Ogre Battle/Tactis Ogre game series since then, even though it's the only worthwhile series the company had. Why buy them if you don't want their stuff? :( (I love that series to death)
-
so Square owns the rights to Tactics Ogre??? That would seem like an excellent excuse to make a true TRPG. And thanks guys for all the info on the developers who made the ogre battle series and then and worked on FF Tactics, that is really interesting. Oh, and Kartia certainly is a step down from Tactics Ogre and FF Tactics. It is an interesting unique game, but you can tell that the guys who made it didn't have the same love for a good narrative as did the developers of the pre-mentioned games.
So, does anyone have anyway to get some high quality scans of this game cover???? I wouldn't even mind some decent quality scans. A couple of my game cases that I downloaded aren't hi-res but still look good enough for me.

i am happy with the images from imageevent.com if someone would be willing to make a DVD case cover with those images.

I'll give it a shot, but I probably cannot finish it this evening. Gimme a few days.
-
sounds great, appreciated!
-
any luck so far?
-
An update for you, I have the front working and started the back. I won't have a ton of free time to mess around this week (girlfriend is in town :) ) but I will get this finished for ya. ;)
-
sounds good, looking forward to it. Hope you have fun with your girlfriend.
-
updates?
-
:-\ I can't say I'm entirely pleased with the results, but I don't know what else I can do with it. So, here's what I've got. The front turned out better than I expected, but I wish I could have figured out something else with the back. Maybe if we get some better scans sometime I can give this another go.

good, just the spine overlaps onto the back of the cover somewhere around the playstation logo
-
it looks good. But the spine doesn't have the name of the game on it. If you are looking at the game from on the shelf you wouldn't know what it is. thanks for all your work.

quick custom - based on the original................
