NES Accessories in CGC
Hey Guys/Gals,
I am in the process in collecting some data. I am trying to figure out all the NES accessories that can fit inside of the CGC (Custom Game Case). I would eventually like to make coverart for every accessory so they will fit uniformly with the rest of the NES games. I know not all accessories were sold at retail but the ones that were I am hoping to collect scans/resources for them. I am only in the planning stage right now and it may take some time before we see some of these covers. :D
I am starting with single cover art and am considering making a list that will include double wide cases (no triples, quadruples or octuples --> looking at you NES advantage). If you can think of anything not listed let me know and I'll add it to the list.
SINGLE CGC Case
01. Controller - Standard
02. Controller - Model 2 (Dogbone)
03. Controller - Max
04. RF Adapter
05. NES/Famicom Cartridge Adaptor
06. Arkanoid Controller ??? (Does it fit?)
07. Generic AV Cable (Red/Yellow)

I was recently looking for something like this. I've scrounged up a couple covers that I found which do have a similar style, but they're kind of plain. Something that really captured what boxart from the 80s looked like would be wicked. I'll be following this thread for sure.

06. Arkanoid Controller might just fit in single but definitely double. I have it somewhere and it's 1.5-2X thick compaed to normal comtroller due to the knob, otherwise same size).

Great idea -- really doubt the Satellite will fit though. I haven't actually gotten one yet, but if anything they might fit in 2 different single cases - one for the base (that plugs into the NES) and one for the "wireless" part
AV Famicoms took a Nintendo Multi-Out (like they use on SNES/N64) though it only output in Composite (yellow plug) so you could make one for that in Famicom style if you're going for completion. Technically, an incredibly small amount of US toploaders did too (if you complained about picture quality to Nintendo and sent your NES in for refurbishing, you got back one that took a Nintendo Multi-Out... I've never seen or known anyone to possess one outside of the internet, but they do exist) if you're really going for completion.

Yes, there are some. I will use some of those resources. Some of the ones I have found are customs and they are not completely uniform. You know me, i like uniformity.

I do not have the NES Satellite but I'm pretty sure it is too tall to fit in the CGC. If you do not have a CGC yet measure it against a DVD case. I appreciate it :)

Won't fit on a CGC, i will give you the mesurments in the afternoon, i was in a hurry when i remember this and just took the pictures
