So, it's been announced that Nintendo will be re-releasing several Gamecube titles on the Wii with new motion controls. While that's exciting (and I'm sure I'll be picking some of these up), the cover art is horrible, similar to the Konami's Best line of DS games. So, I'm putting out a prequest (since none of these are out ye) for Wii versions of these GC covers. The games coming out are listed below, and I think using the original GC covers for the fronts would be the way to go. Anyone want to take a crack at getting these started? :)
Listed in order of Japanese release date:
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Pikmin
Chibi Robo!
Pikmin 2
Mario Power Tennis
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2 Dark Echoes
Edit: Here's what we've got so far for the new covers...not pretty:

For anyone who hasn't played these games:
Pikmin, Chibi Robo!, Pikmin 2, and Metroid Prime are some of the best games GameCube has to offer. I'm not sure how bad the Wii controls for these games are going to be, but the games themselves are great. As for the others, I haven't played them so I can't comment on their quality.

Are those all the games that will be re-released on the Wii? Oh, and here's to hoping that Mario Power Tennis will be compatible with the Wii MotionPlus accessory.

i love retro games and my wii but that being said im gettin sick of the wii being a dumping ground for old titles only.they need to come out with more original and new titles lol. besides Tatsunoko vs capcom i havent gotten any new titles for wii since mario cart. also if needed i can scan my gamecube metroid titles for covers.

Something similar to that, but I was thinking use the Wii colors and logos; almost ignoring that these are re-releases, and pretending they're Wii originals.

while i do agree with you, i think the rereleases would look good with the blue bar at the bottom still there.
when one of the games comes out i'd like to toy around with it
