Title: Request (Done) 3DO NTSC Cover: Lemmings
Post by: travistouchdown on May 04, 2016, 09:43:56 AM
Okay, we are doing well on the 3DO custom covers.  Who doesn't like Lemmings? And the 3DO version actually has a fast forward button so you don't have to sit around at the end of the level (unlike genesis, CD-i, etc.)

Any love for this game via a custom NTSC cover would be MUCH appreciated as I attempt to DVD case my whole 3DO collection.

Can't express my thanks enough.  These are really nice, high quality covers that I am going to enjoy for a long long time.   These aren't like super obscure 3DO games that I am requesting either, so lots of other people will be getting mileage out of these as well.  Again, thank YOU!

My 3DO doesn't get a lot of mileage, but those are two games I would definitely pickup if I saw them for cheap.

The 3DO is a great system.  Highly underrated.  It was like a Playstation 2 years before the Playstation came out.  You should definitely give yours some more play time and check out more of the library.

But i'm a Jaguar guy so I must be a glutton for punishment  :D

Had to use a track mania image for the front, as I couldn't find anything even remotely usable for the retail.

I might have to upgrade my Crash'n Burn.  Sheep's looks so much better.

Did Crash'n Burn ever get a separate long box release since it was originally a pack in game?  If so, it's probably rare since most people got one with their system, and even if they lost it, not too many people would be missing it.  I'm sure that's what explains the lack of good artwork on the web.

Crash'n Burn reminds me of those old PC CD ROM games that you could get for a dollar and run off DOS.  It was cool for a few minutes but you probably never played it again.

Looks like a fun game.  I really need to get a 3D0 - I only like the FZ1, but they are always pretty pricey.

It reminded me of Megarace when I looked at it.  Loved that game when I got my first CD Rom drive all those years ago.  My system wasn't quite powerful enough, and the cut scenes stuttered.

It did, but as you mention because it was the pack in game it's somewhat rare.  I enjoy the game, but the difficulty of actually winning races pisses me off just a little.

Thanks to the artist for the Burning Soldier cover!!!

I like the looks of the FZ1 better, but the FZ10 gives me more confidence for long term durability.

I have one of each at the moment which I was lucky enough to get good deals on.  My long term plan is to get a USB or SD mod for one and keep the other for playing discs.  Not sure which one I want to mod, and unfortunately, both are extremely pricy.   :-[

PS1 version is definitely better due to the control.  If you've played it before, you know that there are a lot of functions in the game that use up all of the buttons on the PS1 controller.  The 3DO has all of the same moves, but with much fewer buttons on the controller, so it becomes cumbersome.  However, I played the 3DO version as a kid before getting the PS1 version.  It was the game that made me want to get a 3DO back in the day, but I eventually found out that it was available for the PS1.  Still, I would love to add it to my 3DO collection.  I knew a guy who had it for sale once, but he could only find the long box itself.  The disc was missing.

Sheep, sounds good.  Will be picking up from the print shop today and will snap some pics when I case the games.

Question for you (or anyone.)  Is there a site or program I can use to reduce image sizes.  Any time I have tried to upload images to the cover project, either to my profile or to a thread, the image is always too big.  I'm used to atariage where you can post 10mb images if you want.  Anyone have any ideas?  Can never seem to get small enough for TCP requirements...

Thanks!

here  go with the last one - and a complete royal PIA it was too.  Of all the Lemmings artwork out there - virtually nothing relates to the 3D0.
I found a half decent MAC version, which uses the same front art as the 3D0 - but had to move some stuff around, and recreate the logo.

Pleased with the final result though - for your delectation I present......3D0 Lemmings
