Ok, i will be Posting this here. i made some changes to shenske new covers, the spine is change to make them look as retail, and some other parts, like logo, seal of quality, backgound. as you all know i like retail covers, as close as the original box.
I Start with Milton Bradley because i wanted to make MB and nintendo logo to be in the same part of the spane in each cover (uniformity) and the name of the game looking as close as the original box. Remember that this is the same cover made by Shenske, only with some changes to make them look as the original.

HI, need confirmation on the gray color on each box of Konami games, this is because I noticed that there are a lot of Covers with a clear grey but there are a few with a different, darker gray tone. I think there are 4 different gray tones between every cover.
Other thing is the KONAMI logo, I have search Google but the one that I have found doesn't have good quality. I have search on TCP but the link is dead also the post of that link is From 2007 and I think if it worke will be a low quality logo. And the one used in the different Covers for me are low quality too.

The title is supposed to extend all the way across the width of the spine on this. To accomplish that one would have to stretch the image which would distort it. So I enlarged it and kept the aspect ratio, it is pretty close to the official retail box spine, just slightly shorter.

This inlay was made by someone else several years ago, i made a modification to make it fit on the CGC,This is the one that i'm planing to use as i'm going with clear cases but if someone comes with a better idea feel free to post here. maybe i change my mind if i see other ideas. i prefer a unify inlay for all my cases but feel free to post what ever inlay you have on mind, could be one for every case or one for each cover. ;D

The Lone Ranger and Kings Quest V make sense as they are not a part of the Konami vertical bars style games. I am not sure if they are the same color gray as the others but it would not surprise me. Bayou Billy and Nascar Challenge are mistakes on my part, I must have missed them.

I went to gamefaqs.com to see why the Contra Force spine was upside down, and apparently game faqs uses TCP covers now with the "TCP NES banner" now, at least for this game.

Tiny Toons Cartoon Workshop This wasn't easy to make, had to reproduce the background fron the front with clone stamp tool, after that i had to use the healing brush tool to eliminate some lines that the clone stamp tool let as i didn't have too much part to clone from (just the line between Plucky and the spine, vertical), also use the healing brush to get the inclination of the shadow of the director on the spine. Had to use the Tiny toons and cartoon workshop logo fron the front, separate them and remake the dobble "O" from cartOOn. after i had the spine logo made i change the back logo. Also changed the front and back seal of quality as it wasn't the retail one. and add konami logo on the spine.

As for Werewolf, I'm 99% sure the retail version always had the "Free comic book" offer on the front and back, even though the one on Gamefaqs doesn't have the one on the front. This is probably a mistake, as all of the boxed copies on eBay have it (the red starburst advertising the comic book) on the front. Wouldn't be the first time gamefaqs used a cover project cover in place of a real box picture (Contra Force). BadChad has a retail UGC version on the site that has the startburst. As far as the other version, which I'm pretty sure was a custom, maybe it would be neat to have the marks on the front seal of quality like on the PAL version here:

When you get to the Ultra Games games, here's one of Shenske's I fixed up (UGC) for TMNT. You should also check out the other retail covers in that thread too. The previews of my TMNT don't work anymore, but the download does (last post on the page I linked):

Ok, I will fix the front werewolf cover adding the starburst. The second one, that I wasn't sure if it was I will modify it for a retail version of the PAL.

Does any of you guys have the original box that can take the dimension of the spine. I found those scans up there but my laptop broke down and I don't know if they are good quality until Monday at my work, I just need the screenshot of the spine if someone have the box and can provide a better scan than the two up there (if they are not good quality), it will be appreciated, if not, the dimension of the spine will work for me ;D

No problem! I hate the fact that TMNT 1 and 2 were put out by Ultra, but not 3 or Tournament Fighters. I know Ultra Games IS Konami, and they had to make a second name to put out more games a year.

Where in time is Carmen Sandiego? Double and triple UGC. Preview photos on the Spine I had to upscale them because they where to small (dpi) and use a noise reduction filter to make them look better. (is someone has made a double or triple UGC please let me know if the dimensions are correct).

I think for the big spine games, you should make regular versions as well. Some people aren't going to have the books/ accessories and/or if they do, may want to case them separatly. For example, I would NEVER store my rumble pak with Star Fox.

So, long story short, my pc broke down, I didn't have all the files save in my laptop neither on my external hard-drive. So I'm waiting on the technician to tell me what happened with the PC and praying that I can get all the files Back.

All of the new covers that I have made after the initial launch have been added to the site directly. There are a few I have made but have not uploaded yet, I will do that soon (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade [Ubisoft] immediately comes to mind).

My fear came true. The technician told that when he check the hard drive of my pc there where nothing on it, no programs, no file. He is now going to send the hard drive to another city, to another company that they supposedly know how to get all the files Back. Hope this works.
And this teach me one lesson for a 5th time, never have just a copy of your file in one place

I figured I try my hand at one of these. Let me know if this works for you. This one was simple. It just needed spine adjustments (move/rotate logo, adjust TM size, move company logo). I don't know how perfect of covers you're looking for.

I mistakenly based the spine logo on the other spine (not the one that spans the front and back). My bad. :P I'll do some more of these. I'll try to tackle some of the more complicated ones. I'm super obsessive about accuracy :D.

Okay! Here is a VERY ambitious cover. First were the easy parts -- I had to replace both the front and back seals of quality. I had to make/replace the barcode. I had to "transfer" the back-bottom text from a raw scan. I had to create/replace both the rear and the spine Taito logos. Now here was the hard part... Shenske's newest version of this cover has visual enhancements which the older version does not (saturation/contrast/etc). So in order to make a retail spine which matched, I had to take the retail spine off of a raw scan. After cleaning it, I matched it to the existing cover (saturation/contrast/sharpness). But in order to fit the CGC spine thickness, the spine has to be stretched. Stretching it mismatches it with the front cover. So after stretching it, I had to spend about 2 hours carefully blending it with the front cover. In the end, it is basically impossible to even see where the two previously mismatched. If I were to do it over, I would probably approach it slightly differently, but I would end up with basically the same thing.

PS: e_brugal, what do you use to replace "Nintendo Seal"s with "Nintendo Seal of Quality"s? I used a custom seal I made while making another cover, but it's not 100% perfect. If you have something, I'll replace the seals on this cover before you upload it.

Alright. I replaced both seals with the one you linked me to (thanks by the way!). I also replaced "REV-A" on the front (it was an incorrect font).
Here are two versions. The first version has the retail game logo, but it's stretched from stretching the spine. The second version has the retail game logo cut out (not stretched) and placed on top of a "reconstructed" background. I don't know which one I prefer. They are both in their own way "more retail". So, you pick!

Silent Service!
I started from scratch on this one (started with raws). All the versions of this game's cover were mediocre, so I remade it (plus I was going to have to remake the spine anyways). When compared with existing versions of this cover, it is much cleaner (far smoother, better contrast, better color). New back seal of quality, new barcode. All of the text is transferred instead of retyped, but with some magic it turned out pretty clean.
Compare the two (look at the artwork quality):
PS: I'm having a lot of fun with these ones where the background image carries over into the spine.
PSS: Feel free to replace the front seal of quality before uploading. I just didn't feel it was needed.

Alright. I fixed the alignment issue, and I also fixed the artwork where one panel is in front of the other (spine alignment). I was able to copy over a lot of the existing stuff, but I had to completely re-redo the artwork. It's a shame that the original scans of this game weren't folded the other way (to make the spine easier).

Is this an official Nintendo logo? (If so, you might find a higher resolution somewhere else on the net.)
Anyway, I don't know what size you need, so I just upscaled it to 300ppi.

In the scan Seems like it is italicized, if you look closely to "up" you'll notice. Maybe is a little unnoticeable because "stack" is too close to the edge of the box, the first time i sow the spine i thought the same, that it wasn't italic but after analysing it it looks like it was italicized, That's what looks like.

Edit: now I understand, I forgot to italicized it lol, but I will like others opinion because it's a bit confusing.

hmmmm, I can try reuploading them as SVG or GIF files instead of PNG. I just double checked my settings and the border is pure white on my end. If you have Photoshop, adding the border if pretty easy. at the bottom of the layers panel there is a fx button. When you click on it with one of the options is stroke. You can adjust the color and width of the border inside the dialog box that pops up.

Alright here they are as GIFs. The transparency doesn't show up for me in my browser, but when I download them and open in Photoshop they have a transparent background. Hopefully they will for you too!

Got it, i was trying as you told me here but i came up with the same result, i select pure white but it came with a greysh color. so i mess a little bit, in the position instead of normal i select center and 2 pixels, and came out great.

Magic Johnson's Fast Break: Change spine to retail (spine logo now normal, the ball looked elongated not round), erase the nintendo entertainment system red stripe (didn't find any cover with that red stripe), and ajust front and back image as they where shrink when that cover was made to put that nintendo red stripe.

I put together a retail-style R.C. Pro-Am II spine logo for you. It's a good start, but hopefully someone like sheep2001 with those sweet vector skills can make a nice smooth vector logo out of it.

I looked for some in the upload section, things like Batteltoads are not there. Any chance you can re-up the originals. Thanks ;D

Right click on the link or the image and choose copy link (or copy link's address) and then post that link to the address bar, then remove the ?.

That's the problem.

Hi guys
Again, a year without posting but finally here again.
You guys remembered that in 2019 my grandfather died and an aunt, and in January 1st 2020 an uncle also died.
I had to stop posting again because more or less in May 2020 my dad was diagnosed with cancer again, this time a stomach cancer, and sadly this time it was too late, he passed away last November. Also on January 2021 my grandmother passed away (wife of my grandfather who died in 2019). This two last years have been hard for the family.
Also i lost my job on dicembre 30th, 2020. Talk to my wife I will remain as an independent architect. For a moment will have to stop my collection/buying games.
Right now I'm in the process of the restoration of my dad's 2001 Jaguar S Type. His dream car was a 1964 Jaguar S Type, but in the Dominican Republic it was impossible to find. So, when Jaguar announced that it was going to make a retro S Type based on the 1964 one he decide that he will buy one. He stopped using the car 6 years ago when he was diagnosed with the 1st cancer, and the car from there started to deteriorate the interior (lots of plastics are now fragile or broken) I got the news that my dad left me his Jag, my mom told me that he always said to her that if something happened to him he knew that I was going to restore and take care of the car. Now I'm in the process of slowly restoring it and I won't sale it, because of the sentimental value.
If some of you know where I can find interior parts for Jaguar (with whatsapp phone or email), please let me know. I have found some on ebay but almost always is not the same color.
