Hey!!
I *LOVE* my Shadowfox Genesis cases! I replaced all of my old beat up cases and printed labels for my remaining singles. my OCD is feeling much better.
Not to rush Shadowfox or anything, but does he plan on making 32X sized cases? If not I could modify the Genesis ones to fit.
-
Doubtful, but the regular UGC'S fit 32X decently well.
-
but does he plan on making 32X sized cases?
I believe he said that he will.

I remember seeing that in an earlier thread. modifying one of his standard Genesis ones would be a bit rough, but it looks possible.
But I'd prefer a 32x one. I don't want to bug Shadowfox about it yet!

Don't bug directly but I believe posting question in the Genesis case topic is OK as long as you first make sure it has not yet been asked and answered.

I've found that these type of Genesis cases are ideal for 32X games:

If you bend the top and bottom tabs outward a bit with pliers, they will remain in place. Then, a 32X cartridge can be inserted and removed as easily as a regular Genesis cartridge (in an unaltered case). The tabs are quite solid - they won't break, and it doesn't take much effort to bend them to accommodate 32X carts.

My plan (goal) is to have a complete Nintendo and SEGA game case sets for all carts. So the remaining cases I have lined up and ready to go for sure are:
1.) SNES/SFC case
2.) N64 case
3.) Famicom case
4.) Gameboy case (thicker spine to hold games like Pokemon Pinball and Wario Twisted)
5.) Virtual Boy case
6.) SEGA Master System case
7.) SEGA "Universal" case (To hold SG-1000, SG-3000, 32X, Codemasters, Sonic & Knuckelsm and EA games)
8.) SEGA Game Gear/ SEGA Card case
9.) Replica SEGA CD case
10.) Atari Jaguar case
11.) "Universal" Arari case
These are cases that are FOR SURE on my list. And their sizes, structure, and appearance will conform to their "families" so SNES/SFC, N64, FC will be the same dimensions as my NES cases. The Gameboy V2 and Virtual Boy will be the same as the existing Gameboy cases. All the SEGA cases will be the same height and depth as the Genesis case, for the Game Gear case I'm looking at creating is much like the SEGA Card case, which holds the Game Gear booklets perfectly. SEGA CD will be SEGA CD 1,2, and 4 CD cases. And the Arari cases are still up in the air; I can create an entirly new case/ design from them, or just conform them to my NES cases.
Other cases that are on the sidelines but are still on the agenda are:
12.) SEGA Dreamcast case
13.) GBA/DS case
14.) GameCube case (Both 1 and 2 disk)
15.) PS 2
16.) Wonderswan
17.) Solid DVD cases
18.) Atari Lynx case
19.) Neo Geo Pocket case
If all goes well I will also be coming out with multiple colors of certain cases as well.
My goal is to have the primary 11 new cases done by this time next year, and the remaining 8 cases completed the first quarter of the following year. But all time lines and case priorities are subject to change. ;)
Not to mention that the NES and Genesis cases are not selling amazingly yet and there is still a few dollars owed to the factory so it's taking me much longer to move product I have hence, making it take a bit longer to get to the next cases on the list. :)

Highly, highly informative! Thank you for that update! To help, I'll place another order of NES cases so that you can start making some money back even though I don't have the games to go in them yet.
-
Shadowfox, have you ever considered doing something like a kickstarter to get a bunch of funding for these cases up front or are you mostly trying to keep it small time with orders here and on your website?
-
We need that plan stickied in this forum, for real yo. It's gonna be a great 2016
-
Are you sure about the virtual boy case?
I definitely will love to see that, but economically for you do you think it will be worth?
Don't you think it will be much better to make some sort of combination with GBA/ds case and the virtual boy?

9.) Replica SEGA CD case
So potentially we can expect new Sega CD and Sega Saturn cases from you that are similar to the longbox jewel cases that are so hard to come by in good condition these days?
-
11.) "Universal" Arari case
[T]he Arari cases are still up in the air; I can create an entirly new case/ design from them, or just conform them to my NES cases.
Will the "Universal" Atari case conform only to Atari 2600, 5200 and 7800 carts (and by extension, ColecoVision carts, which are the same size as 2600 and 7800 carts), or will they fit XEGS carts as well?

I am not familiar with XEGS carts, what are their size comparison with the Arari carts?
-
XEGS is the standard Atari 8Bit computer size. For Atari 400 through 65XEGS. It's a little stubbier than a Commodore 64 cartridge.

I never thought I would consider cases other than UGC's (of which I have 550), but your cases just look so amazingly professional that I will likely upgrade all my cases. I wanted to thank you for even considering making Sega CD cases, most of my CD/Saturn games got put in DVD cases because of the cost of finding the games complete with the box. This project is amazing, keep up the good work. ;D

Is there any chance that the sega master system cases can be configured to also hold ti99 carts?
-
It looks like they would fit perfectly as long as the clips were slightly off center to allow for the thicker portion of the case where the labels are.
