Does anyone happen to have good scans for Syndicate. I cant find a decent scan anywhere. Ultimately I want a cover for 3DO but scans from the Genesis version might work well enough.

I used to have the box for Syndicate (along with some boxes of other good 3do games).. For the life of me, I can't remember what ever happened to them... :'(

Dont you hate that! There are so many games and original cases that I know I used to have but now I have no idea what happened to them. My younger brother probably had something to do with that!

I have a Jaguar version and an unboxed 3DO one. I could scan the Jag one when i get home BUT its nothing like the 3DO version...that was better i seem to remember. Anyhow, could do a custom with it if nothing else turns up.

I have a Sega Genesis scan that I found online some time ago. It's fairly good resolution, and somewhat close to the 3DO version (at least the front).
I don't think it willl work with my template, but it would look good on Lish's AU template.

I have a Sega Genesis scan that I found online some time ago. It's fairly good resolution, and somewhat close to the 3DO version (at least the front).

Thanks for the awesome scan VT. What do you think? I dont pretend to have the skills of you guys, but I dont think its too bad for my first try. Any suggestions?

It's not bad for a first try, but it would never make it threw TCP screening project. The front is not so bad, some softening would hide the slight pixelation that it has. The back and spine are more of an issue. The text shows a lot of pixelation (I personally would replace it) and the legal text is for the sega system ( once again I would replace it with more appropriate 3DO legal text). The spice: it would be best to just replace it entirely. There is too much pixelation, s[specially around the EA logo.
But like I said, Not bad for a first try. It's a lot better that some of the stuff I did when i first started making covers a couple of years ago.
EDIT: Here is what I came up with. It's not fully done yet. I'm not too happy with the screen shots used on the rear.

You can see that the entire back is fully done. I used a Mobygames scan of the rear 3DO cover as a base. Replaced the background and then I retyped tall the text. It's a bit time consuming, but the results are usually very good.

Don't give up there - as VT said - it was a great attempt at a first cover. Take on board his tips, and have a go at another...............

Sheep is right on it. Don't get discouraged. Like I said, it's a lot better than some of the stuff I was doing earlier on.
This is a cover I made earlier on. You can see how bad it is..Pixelated, blurry, the text is hard to read...
It takes time and practice.

As i like your template for my 3DO stuff, i have messed with various scans to try and get one to fit it. Also did a custom back so as not to copy what you had allready done with the Lish template. Hope you dont mind VT, and that you had not been working on something similar.

As i like your template for my 3DO stuff, i have messed with various scans to try and get one to fit it. Also did a custom back so as not to copy what you had allready done with the Lish template. Hope you dont mind VT, and that you had not been working on something similar.
Very nice!.. I was not working on a US cover at all. The art that I have would have been a pain to adapt.
If you want to make a AU cover too, please go ahead. I don't think I'll add mine to the site (I don't like the way the front looks).

The blue tinted face for the 3DO is I.M.O the best of the Syndicate covers by a country mile. I will have a go at fitting it to Lish's template. And thanks for a quick response.
