Title: windows PC point and click adventures
Post by: Dr.Agon on March 27, 2015, 06:03:17 AM
hey guys!

for some reason I had an urge to play point n click games, went through an old stack of PC games and found a few, some of which have covers already on site, however, I'm missing 2, hopefully some nice person can help me out...?

Broken Sword 1 (Yes I know the cover is kind of up, but that's for the US version, I would like the European, "Shadow of the Templars" version)

The Dig (cant find any cover art online, but the copy I have has a horrible purple spine with white writing on it, would prefer something better!)

thanks!

I'll start working on it. I need a cover for my copy of The Dig anyway.

cool, thanks!

couple of scans to help out;

as far as im concerned all you would need to do for 'the dig' would be to replace the name on the spine with the logo, could easily(?) be taken from the front or the back...

as for 'broken sword', the hardest part would be what to do for the back...

...anyway, hope these help!

Here's The Dig :

I wasn't sure which type of PC banner you prefer, so I made 2 versions:

The first uses my personal favorite style of banner, the "line" type:

The second directly uses the original style of banner, the "Euro" type:

excellent!

think i'll go with the euro style, it'll better match the rest of my games

thanks for that, any chance you could tackle broken sword?

I'll try it when I get back to my workstation, but it may take a while.

Done, in the Euro style, as you requested for the last cover.

I also made a version with the bar-style banners, which I'll post if anyone requests it.

The cover for Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars looks good but needs a little work. The screenshots have a lot of moire and some spots. Touch up the spots on the screenshots. It will make them look nice and clean. Next, remove the moire with a little gaussian blur and despeckle. Last, sharpen it with the unsharp mask and apply a surface blur to smooth the colors. The back cover also has a spelling error. The word "fearsome" is misspelled.
