Title: PS3 - Metal Gear Solid 4 - US
Post by: RockMax on May 22, 2008, 10:25:42 AM: This is a request for the future, when MGS4 comes out. I don't know anymore if the Limited Edition box art will have that sweet art of Liquid Ocelot and Snake on it, or just Old Snake's face like the normal version.

My request is that I would like the box art to have that sweet art on the cover with the normal straight METAL GEAR SOLID 4: GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS font, of course with the Guns being subtitled.

The back can be the same, I don't mind. Again, this doesn't have to be addressed till the game comes out in a couple weeks. But the one to do it will forever have the glory. :D

Anyone wana help me? The back is fine on the box, all I want is the front and spine done. With the logo with the PS2 MGS font.

Post by: RedSwirl on June 15, 2008, 12:10:29 AM: The LE boxart has an art of Solid and Liquid on it and it would be cool if someone could make a Blu-Ray case with that art on it. However, this site already has a pretty sweet custom Blu-Ray case for MGS4.

It'd also be nice if someone made a DVD case version of MGS4 to go along with the essential collection boxes.

However with tradition most MGS covers are with a white back ground which let the METAL GEAR SOLID label show up easily. If I use the LE box cover as the front cover the label won't show up that well.

I was thinking of doing it anyway and doing two different versions. These are the images I will use, I'm not on my home PC so these images were saved my from Facebook profile. Which makes them smaller than they should be.

I'll basically just make two covers, switching both sides. So if you want, you can have your cake and eat it too.

How did you do this? This is kinda sexy...Hmm...I'll consider this for the front cover.

But the format I'll be making for this will be a PS3 template, not for a blu-ray box, or DVD.

In the UK/PAL territories I'm told that Blu-ray movies come in the thicker PS3 game cases, just blue.

In the USA/JPN territories I'm told that they come in a slimmer case like the HD DVDs.

Also It would be cool if someone could make the European case art. I really liked that one, but can't find it anywhere on the net.

What's to mess up? You just slip the old art out of the cover and slip the new one in.

Post by: RockMax on December 15, 2008, 08:04:18 PM: I think what I want most is probably a theme like Shenske's PS1 VR Missions. Creativity with images is open, I just like that whole computer grid design thing, but the main thing is definitely the PS2 font on it.
