Title: Photos With Mario
Post by: LordXaero on June 05, 2014, 11:58:23 AM
Anyone out there want to whip up a simple Photos With Mario Box art to go along with the already made AR Card Games?

I didn't even know this was a thing. Is there actual AR cards you buy or is it 100% digital?

There are actual AR Cards. They came with $10 eShop cards, and they can only be found at Target. The app can be downloaded on the eShop.

I noticed, you are the guy who made the AR Cards cover. Any way you can make one for Photos With Mario?

The Goomba, Mario, and Peach Cards are Bundled with $10 eShop Cards at Target. The Warp Pipe one is bundled with the system (Its just the ? block AR Games card) and the others you have to download off the internet.

I'll have some decent scans of the set when mine arrives. I bought all 3 empty (no eShop points) for $2 shipped on eBay. Just waiting for them to come in now.

[...] and they can only be found at Target.

This is incorrect. I first saw these in Wal-Mart, and I recall seeing them in Best Buy.

Also, the 3D warning message on the front has the wrong font and just looks off, and the ESRB logo is terrible. Looks Like something off of a bootleg pokemon cart. And it shouldnt just be "Photos With Mario" it should be "Photos With Mario AR Cards"

It was just a proof of concept.

The ESRB/ 3D stuff is off of the AR Games cover, that I used as a base for the cover. There are more issues, like the logo and Mario art needs to be cleaned up. The orange circle is cut off, and the Mushrooms need to be smaller.

With the 3D part was the one on the front. Also the ESRB isnt that off.

I'm loving this progress! The front looks good, but does need some tweaking. The spine also needs to be corrected, and of course the back, which would be the hardest part.

You guys are awesome! I'll keep checking back to see something more "official".

Nice. That should aid in making the back portion of the box art. I wish I knew a thing or two about Photoshop.

Hoping you met all your school deadlines. Just wondering the status of this, and if and when you'll knock it out.

So, I'm guessing this isn't happening?

I apologize for constantly asking, and if I had the software and skills, I'd do it myself. It seems we were getting the ball rolling, and then it just stopped.

Anywho, hope something turns up soon.

Eh, sometimes I need prodding to get things done. I've been busier than I wish I was, even though school is out. I just got back from vacation, I was up in Boston for 3 days to see Weird Al.

Nothing wrong with having a life. Haha. I just figured something would be in the works, and released soon, since it's been a few months.

You do ... this initial request was made OVER one year ago. Instead of poking someone to do it for you, you could have learned to use photoshop yourself. Take the initiative and do it yourself  :)  We all start somewhere
