---Note: this is an unfinished guide. With this guide, you can make 3D previews of covers. However, I have not finished the guide for the more advanced software, IMANDIX Cover Pro. Sticky and guide to IMANDIX Cover Pro coming soon.---
Have you seen previews of covers on the forums here that look like this?

If you want to make previews like that, you've come to the right place. To my knowledge this is Windows only.
Step One: Download IMANDIX Coverpro
Navigate to http://www.3dcoverhost.com/imandix/download.aspx (http://www.3dcoverhost.com/imandix/download.aspx) and choose a download. The professional version offers more case types and features, but only a trial is offered without paying. If you just want to preview DVD cases, or are a cheapass non-pirate, download the freeware version under it. The trial version also does not watermark the covers.
Step Two A: Install It
Extract the .zip file. Choose between the standard, no watermark, DVD case only version(step 2b) or the trial, watermark, more options version (guide coming soon).
Step Two B: Run IMANDIX Cover (free/no watermark)
Extract IMANDIX_Cover.zip to any folder you want. Open the newly extracted folder and run Cover.exe. Move on to step three a.
Step Two C: Run Setup.exe (trial/watermark/more options)
Run the setup and install it where you want. Then run CoverPro.exe from wherever you installed it. (The rest is pretty self explanatory, but nonetheless I'll have a guide to the pro version shortly).
Step Three A: Create a DVD Cover Preview in IMANDIX Cover
Load a cover and choose what options you want. Click on Render after that. If it looks good, go to save. If it doesn't, change it how you want and then go to save. Choose where you want to save and the output dimensions. Upload to your favorite image hosting site (I use photobucket.com (http://photobucket.com/)) and share the link with the world!
Step Three B: Create A DS Cover Preview in IMANDIX Cover
We don't need the pro version for this! Load a DS case cover (GBA, DS, GB, etc) in IMANDIX Cover. Before you click on "render", make sure the dropdown for selecting a case is on "Armaray (Width: 273 mm)". When you do that, follow the steps in 3a for saving. It will look stretched, but we can fix this. Open with your favorite image editing program. If you want it to look nice you will need Paint.NET (free), Photoshop, or the like. MS Paint could work, but it won't be exact and you will have to eyeball it. I offer no help with MS paint here. If you saved it with the default dimensions, resize it to 443x217. The height will change but the width will stay the same. If you didn't save with the default dimensions, multiply the height dimension by 0.63543599257884972170686456400742 rounded to the nearest ones place. Resize the height dimension by that much. Now it looks like a DS case!

I always use NexPak 4/5/6 for UGC covers. Fits perfectly.

I know this topic is kind of old, but does any one else have an issue getting 'can't alloc' errors when saving the 3D previews in Coverpro? Google has gotten me nowhere. I have no clue what's causing it (it appears to be random) and it's getting a bit frustrating. Restarting the program will allow me to re-generate and save, but that's gotten annoying..

This is quite an old topic but does anyone have this program anymore?

The name of the programm is mentioned a couple times in the guide above...
It is called "Imandix Cover (Pro)".
Just google it. You can download it directly from the developer. ;)
