Title: WiiWare Games
Post by: Valahart on May 15, 2008, 09:11:51 PM
Can someone make boxarts for Lost Winds and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King?

It would be really nice, just like the VC games boxarts =D
And I think we have the necessary number of renders to make really good ones =D

Tanks.

I was thinking that it would be nice to figure out some way to store SD cards the same way I do my games, since theoretically (I just started downloading WiiWare games a few minutes ago) you could put your WiiWare games on SD cards for storage. They don't fit in DS boxes perfectly, but it works, so, if anyone wanted an excuse to make WiiWare covers...

I think the only real problem we'll run into with this idea is that there isn't much readily available art for the Wii Ware games out so far.

Yeah that's right but I'm all for doing such WiiWare covers.... You know it's not like the Virtual console stuff were I think it's useless to make covers(just buy the complete original)....

WiiWare games will never be released in retail boxes afaik so if you want to collect them you need some boxes, small SD-Cards and a cover....

Just buy the complete original, eh?

You better keep your words soft and sweet, you might have to eat 'em once Kizuna Encounter hits the VC ;D

If I may ask, what's Kizuna Encounter?

Kizuna Encounter is a fighting game for Neo Geo. It's not among the best but it's considered one of the holy grails of video game collectors due to its rarity.

The European Neo Geo AES homecart version of Kizuna Encounter is one of the most expensive and rare video games of all time, there are rumored to be no more than 10 copies, three confirmed circulating in Europe and the US, and the last one sold for around 12,000 USD!!!

I'm going to clean up the template a bit so we can host it here, Then I've got this and some good art for FF:CC MLaaK, but the other games will be tricky.

I got a decent WiiWare template. Not sure if it's anything you're looking for.

^ Just a mock up. The template is complete as far as I know, and if you want it I can send it to anyone who wants.
