Yeah, I knew I had uploaded it, but I never listed it in my "new PS1 scans" in the raw scans section. Almost all the others on your list seem really familiar. I might not have scanned them as I used to only scan covers that weren't already hosted on the site. And after I scanned hundreds (or thousands?) I finally caught on that a lot of the older uploaded covers weren't very good from when the site first started. I've been too lazy to go back and scan any of those (also because I'm not sure which ones actually need an update. Unless when shenske, or whoever, marks one as "low resolution").
I uploaded the Tom Clancy Ghost PS2 cover from the other thread for you. I had that one in my "uploaded scans" folder on my computer, even though I hadn't uploaded it. I really miss uploading scans to the Raws section, like we used to be able to do (I cried actual tears when that went away and Arseen didn't even try to console me ;D).

It's a really cool list. It includes every game released in long box format and indicates which of the three long box versions the game was released for:
Long box clear jewel case (same as Saturn and Sega CD)
Long box bumpy ridge (strong plastic case - the good kind)
Long box flat cardboard (never liked this kind)
It also lists which of those games were released in regular CD jewel case.

It was released in the clear jewel case long box (like Saturn and Sega CD) in two different formats and in the standard CD jewel case in both regular and Greatest Hits.
In other words, there were 4 different cover versions.

I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing that they were originally released in long boxes because, at the time, that's how disc based games were released (Sega CD, Saturn). I'm guessing they swithced to the plastic long boxes with the bumpy ridge because the jewel cases were too brittle (these were the best kind of long boxes). I'l also guessing that they switched to the third type of flat cardboard long box to save on costs.
Eventually, the swithced to standard CD jewel cases. The long box games that were re-released in standard CD jewel cases were simply popular enough to continue production into the new style. Some were even poupular enough to get a Greatest Hits vesion in the standard CD jewel case format.
