Title: ***DONE*** PS2 - Metal Gear Solid 2/3 Essentials - US
Post by: RockMax on April 17, 2008, 11:55:50 AM
In the Essential Collections I LOVE the cover art of all three, but they don't have any backs.  I saw Shenske did one for MGS1 which is...I'm running out of good adjectives; TRANSCENDENT, that's a good one.  Shenske, I'm sorry to have to call you out on this but could you do backs for 2 and 3?  The front and sides are perfect the way they are.

Here's something I did with the Essentials Collection. What do you think?

MGS1:

MGS2- Substance:

MGS3- Subsistence (Two disc version):

I also did one for the one disc Subsistence that comes in the box set. I'll upload that one later.

Those are pretty excellent, man. If it's not too much trouble, would it be possible to make a back for a the initial release of MGS2 (ie: Sons of Liberty, not Substance)?

Mario XB whats up man? hah

Ummm, Since you do so amazing on the Lupin cover for the Gamecube, do you think you could touch up the PAL scan of Get on Da Mic and make it NTSC? It shouldn't take to long, its a pretty good scan. hah

Sorry for the off topicness but I couldn't find the ps2 cover thread.

When do you think you'll have these MGS covers uploaded to the site?

Hmm... I'd like to have all my Essential Collection boxes matching but it would suck to have to use up ink re-printing ALL of them.

I'm trying to get an MGS1 boxart that has the same plain rear as the MGS 2 and 3 Essential Collection covers with just the Kojima logo on the back.  I was wondering if anyone could make that or give me some tips on making it myself.

It has it right there.  What else did you want on it?

Nothing.  At all.  I want it to be the front that this guy has made along with the plain rear that's on the current essential collection box.

I want this:

But with just this on the back.

Thanks! Here's MGS3: Subsistence for the one disc version from the boxset. (The first one I posted was for the non-boxset two disc version.):

Here's a closeup of MGS2. I'm not sure about the text that says, "bullets pierce steam pipes, smoke reveals laser beams and wet shoes leave footprints." Does it look OK?

I will make versions for the regular versions of MGS2 and MGS3 as well.
