Anyone have a scan of the Bayonetta First Print edition cover? Not Bayonetta 2, the first one i need it because I'm in America and we only have those annoying floppy disk things so i put Bayonetta in another case i just need the cover.

While I also appreciate the Bayonetta 1 custom cover, I noticed some problems with it after printing it.
The Wii U logo itself is kind of fuzzy looking
There is a shadow behind the picture box on the spine. (Which when set next to all my other games looks kind of odd. I'll need to take a closer look at it to see if the others have a shadow behind them at all.)
And the game title on the spine is still a little off center from the rest of the games.
Makes me wish my main computer wasn't down so I could actually get some of my scanning and other work done.
If I can ever get it back up I will try to put the Wii U template on my to do list, (if it hasn't been done yet). Then catch up on my other work.

I have bought any of these cases and had mixed results. The original Xbox cases do not match the color of the official ones at all, Xbox 360 were identical. The quality is not as good as the official cases but they get the job done. I have not bought the Wii U cases from them so I don't know if they match or not.

If you make a mediafire account then you can upload the images there and copy/paste a link. Scans should be 600dpi and really flat (put a few books on top).

finished hosted covers are at 300, raws are prefered at 600, so we can make any fixes/amendments before downscaling.

Oops - sorry, I had posted Nintendo's link, but you were looking for ALTERNATE sites. No one that I've seen even carries cases in a color resembling the Wii U, I'm afraid. I personally just received some cases (both for Wii and Wii U from Nintendo today to replace the cases on a few used games I've purchased recently.

They are AGI (Amaray) cases, and they look great - I'd swear I've seen at least one game release in these cases, and I can't tell the difference in color from the Flexbox or Amaray cases that my other games have come in.

I've gotten these in dark grey and aside from the fact that they don't have the amaray logo printed on the inside, they look like the real thing. Early Wii games came in this style case, although they did have the Wii logo just above the disc tray area.

Apologies for the necrobump, but I'm considering putting my Bayo 1 and 2 in separate cases, because I'm a crazy person like all the rest of you, and I was wondering if anyone would be able to photoshop away the "Bonus Bayonetta game included" starburst on this cover? I know it's not exactly the easiest task in the world, but I've seen some of you guys do more with less... Thanks in advance if anyone manages it.

Came in here to post my first foray's into the world of Wii U covers (its driving me mad not having boxes for my eShop games, so focussing on them at first)........but as I see "TheWiiCover" has posted his/her first EVER cover, thought I would give some feedback as I always like to put the effort in for new cover makers as many of you did with with me.
Overall, it is really good first cover and you have a lot of good facets to it but as with all of us when we start, there are some flaws.....which are all pretty easy(ish) fixes and hey, the only way we improve at anything in life is from having people be honest with us right?
So, just in case you are not used to it (you will be if you want to hang around here and make covers with a view to them being uploaded onto the main site - as the cover admins have very high, and rightly so, standards)..........everything I am about to say is both purely constructive criticism all in the name of improving your current/potential covers, and also nothing ANY of us hasnt had to have pointed out them and fix themselves. ;D
1 - I assume you had some difficulty finding a high resolution/quality image for the front? as that is the biggest issue for me with the cover. Always look at the DPI of the image of you are using for a cover, we like to work from 600dpi scans but 300 is acceptable and workable with some clean up.
The one youve used looks to me to be in the 90 or lower range, hence why there is a lot of distortion around the edges of the characters and their features (get used to zooming in VERY close/far to check this level of detail! lol) which would be a big issue for the cover admins looking to approve hosting it on here.
In terms of fixing it, in the absence of a much better quality base image as that would be ideal due to saving the time and effort to clean it up........you can try going to "Filter - Noise - Median" and using the slider to see if that helps - typically you do not want to go higher than 2, as it becomes too blurry after that. Outside of that working, it would need to be a manual clean up job with the clone stamp, paintbrush or colour replacement tools.......all of which will take a large amount of effort and time to clean this kind of distortion.
2 - The front is also not quite aligned with the spine...........if you zoom in to where it meets the spine you will see it, and is obviously an easy fix but something that can be missed if you look at everything from too far away.
Also, did you "flatten" or "merge" the layers before you saved it? as again, from a far, an image can look fine when it has all its layers open but when saved it will show slight issues like this.......so when you are done with an image, make sure to flatten or merge ALL the visible layers (simply right click on any of them and the option is at the bottom) and it will at the very least make it all look cleaner and perhaps solve issues like this straight away.
3 - The Wii U blue section of the front.......I assume you took that from a scan, and whilst that is clearly a high res. one, the blue colour needs to be bolded out and made solid, so it does not have all that flick and "moire" effect (like very small lines of distortion from the scanner) that is present there - like a texture effect I suppose).
Same goes for the grey Wii U logo on the spine, just simply sampling the colour and paintbucketing over it will make it a solid colour without distortion and then make it perfect!
4 - Also on the Wii U blue front part, under the yellow strip, there is a lot of left over grey gunk from where you havvent quite gone close enough to the yellow bar to remove it all. Now, I for one am not removing that grey shadow type thing anyway, as it is obviously part of the retail look and we always want as close to retail as possible.
So leaving it in would have saved you the trouble, and also this point that it is quite messy. ;D
5 - The back......by far the best part of the whole thing, so bravo there..........but this "moire"/texture effect I mentioned above is also present in the grey section where the controller options and stuff are, so again, just filling that colour in would sort it out. Also a couple of very minor flecks of dust or lint from the scanner in the bottom white area, nothing major at all.......but none the less, would be something a cover admin would point out.
The background image youve used looks Ok, bit of distortion there in places but nowhere near as bad as the front so that is passable to me for a faded background image type thing. The screen captures of the game are perfect! the text youve got on there is alright from a distance but when you zoom in you will see a lot of distortion and non-filled areas of colour.
Thats about it for me.........lol.............sorry man, please understand this is no way meant to offend or say that you are not very good at this!!! I was god damned TERRIBLE when I started, much worse than this cover you have done as your first here..........but I have only gotten better, and now able to produce covers that meet the extremely high standards required for uploading onto the site, after having this kind of analysis of my covers and constructive criticism at this level of detail to improve to that point.
So, I hope that all makes sense and helps, any questions feel free, want to tell me to F off......feel free! ;D .....but I also hope to be seeing more covers from you to help us to start populating the Wii U section of our beloved site!!

Heres another one I wanted for a download only game.
I also printed mine the other day and I have to say, they came out freakin awesome!! the blue is spot on (was worried about that) but of course this will depend on your printer.
So with them in the lot of 20 official Wii U cases I convinced a manager in Toy's R Us to let me buy for £2.99! ;D .......they look official as hell.

Hello everyone! I recently made a custom cover for Bayonetta 2, made to look as if it's for Bayonetta 1 and 2 rather than for only Bayonetta 2 :). I was wondering if I could get some constructive criticism, as it's one of my first custom covers and my submission to the Project wasn't accepted :-/
