Hey Doom, would it be too much trouble for you to slap together a guide for scanning booklets?

Yes.

...

Well, maybe not. I have never done it before and from what the people who have say, it's a huge pain in the ass. I think TheValeman and KaiserWAVE have done it. Maybe if they give me pointers I can.

Seems to me like the biggest pain would be finding a program to use. I figured I'd ask, cause I have tons o' booklets I could scan, and I'm really good with taking out staples and putting them back without damaging anything, so I could make them to where they could be printed like the real manuals. I asked you 'cause you seem to be the guide authority!  ;D Anyway, not a big deal, I may start scanning and posting them on my filefront page until something comes up here.

Sorry to disappoint you Mr. Guide Authority  :P
I've never scanned a manual. TheValeman scanned several manuals and I think I read that wshbrngr did as well. As far as I know they scanned every page at 300dpi, cleaned the images, put them all together again and converted them to a .pdf file. All in all a pretty time consuming process.

makeshiftknight, if you're good at taking out staples and putting them back without damaging anything, you might use Doom's scanning guide for them, too. Without the staples you can fold them as flat as DVD covers so I guess it could work.
