Title: *** Done ***GBA - The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night - NTSC/US
Post by: rwilloug on March 19, 2008, 09:41:34 PM
All,

I'd do it myself, since I have the box, but my scanner got destroyed while moving.  :(

Thanks in advance,

RWilloug

I don't want to sound mean, RWilloug, but it's only been a month since you requested this, and you're bumping this topic already? Do you really need it that badly?

No offense, but the Donkey Kong Classics request on page 1 got bumped after nine days and nobody complained.  My request was a month old, was already on page 4, and I haven't been able to put in on the wiki to keep it from getting lost in the pile, because its been down this whole time.  I can't see any reason why my bump should bother anybody.

Do I need it that badly?  No, it's not life or death, but it is the last cover I need for my collection, so maybe I am a bit anxious for it.  If I was out of line, then I apologize to the community.

not a big deal, at least to me.
a bump after a whole month is completely reasonable

as for the cover, with all requests the RAW scans are needed first.
If someone uploads the RAWS (descreened/non rasterized) pm me and i'll make the cover for you

Thanks for the offer sheske.

Since I've had the box sitting here the whole time, I think I'm going to have to finally bite the bullet and replace my destroyed scanner.  Anyone have any recommendations on what brand and model give the most bang for your buck?

No particular recommendation, but make sure it's a flatbed (with a lid, not like the old ones built directly into a printer).
However lately I've seen flatbed scanners built into printers. Dunno about the quality and if they're big enough to scan covers. But I'd keep an eye out around black friday (day after thanksgiving, USA always has huge sales on everything that day, if that's where you're at)

I finally got a replacement scanner (a Canon CanoScan 4400F), so I've uploaded scans of the box tonight.  I actually uploaded the front cover twice because I forgot to change the country to USA the first time.  Thanks again shenske for your offer to make the cover.

Awesome.  Thank you!

Dumb question: I don't see it in the listings yet.  Where do I grab it from?

Not a problem.  I've waited this long;  a little longer isn't going to kill me.  :)
