Post by: videogametrader on June 13, 2013, 08:52:28 AM

Looks like a solid solution to me, I personally have no need for it but I can see others going for it.
Title: Streets of Rage II POLY Game Gear Custom
Post by: videogametrader on July 11, 2013, 03:37:07 PM
Here is a quick Streets of Rage 2 for Sega Game Gear. Let me know what you think. This would be considered a custom cover but it is based off the retail case.

How do you get the cartridge out?

How do you get the cart out? Just pull it out. The foam is soft so there is not need to add pull out tabs. Also, the foam isn't quite as high as the cartridge so its easy to remove the carts.

I was thinking the same thing, you could 'heat up' a coin or something round and make a small indent above the cart and make a thumb spot to pull the cart out.  I was thinking of making the same for some Game Cube memory cards with foam

The inDent is a good idea, don't doubt that the foam is soft but think it needs that thumb spot ;)

Sorry to disagree but it doesn't need the thumb spot. The items come out just as easy without. I did testing with a thumb spot and it made no difference. Plus with the thumb spot i wouldn't have been able to design the foam to fit some many different carts.

Title: Fist of the North Star - Game Boy Custom
Post by: videogametrader on August 29, 2013, 11:19:55 AM
Here is a custom cover i did of Fist of the North Star for GameBoy. I had to use elements from the NES and Game Boy to make it. Feel free to take it and modify if you would like. I also have the PSD file if someone wants it.

This is a POLY case but will resize nicely for DS or 3DS cases.

The foam inserts that we have you would have to order from us. We had Lamatek make them but we own the tooling used to create the cuts.

I know it may be a hassle but could you show us how you make a Sega Game Gear and Nintendo Gameboy, even how to re size for NDS/3DS? thanks
