Title: Request: Rockman Z (Zook Hero Z) Custom NDS Case
Post by: Forte on August 28, 2012, 02:30:26 PM: So I finally tracked down a copy of Rockman Z (AKA Zook Hero Z, prequel to Zook Hero 2/Rockman DX3), and I need a case for it. There exists "official" box art:

But, as with pirated Rockman games, it makes no sense. By luck, I managed to find an English version of the game script (in 480p as well) on YouTube:

If someone could mock up a DS case cover for this game for me, I'll love you forever. Use the Rockman Z title, not Zook Hero Z. On the back, maybe use the intro text that's in the YouTube video that explains the story (Zook gets turned into a robot, has to stop Dr. Meet, infiltrate Cosmos City, etc). Other than that, go nuts. My only specific request is a "retail" spine, no "Game Boy Color" thingie up in the top of the spine.

So, you want the spine to look like spines of other Capcom GBC games? And do you want the front to look like a normal US GBC game with the side banner and ESRB Ect.

I do not have the box, but yeah, having it look retailish would be fine, like the Mega Man Mania cover I had made a while back.

Rockman DX3 has 3 versions, A B and C, A & B are buggy and use music from Rockman Z, version C uses a different soundtrack and has far less bugs. Somehow, mine is version C. As for Rockman Z, I don't have the ROM, just the cart (which is in the mail from Republic of China).

Rockman and Forte are on the cover with a Met in the middle. It appears they used some sort of artwork from Rockman 4 for the rest, so the Wily Numbers are Diveman (blue), Toadman (green), Drillman (orangish red), Pharoahman (inbetween Rock & Forte), Ringman (partially obscured), Brightman, Dustman. I don't see Skullman in the pic but he must be obscured by Rock/Forte.

If you look closely, Pharoahman and Brightman are on there 2 times on the GB cover.
Any idea where the Roskman & Forte art is from?

Post by: JDavis on August 30, 2012, 03:45:08 AM: Those don't exactly match the art on the box. It looks like the pirates redrew it so that Megaman is in the middle of climbing out of the Rush-car.

Rockman and Forte on the front are certainly not official art. The style's all wrong.

I guess I will have to re draw Rock Man and forte, but all the robot masters in the back are from the Rockman 4 cover, and I have a very HQ pic of it, better than the one above.
