Ah...that picture.  It is from the Tactics Ogre Art Works book.  Very expensive.  Here is link on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Tactics-Ogre-Works-Book-Japanese/dp/B005O41CEA

I don't know if this helps....but in case it does:

Click on the pic for a larger image - it is a picture someone took of that page in the book...

That picture is in my opening post mate ;). I know of the book, just trying to avoid buying and then cutting up a $70 book.

I know the picture is in your opening post, hahaha jeez.  I just meant, the picture from my link is larger and more close-up.  I know it isn't the high-res flat shot you were looking for, but I just meant maybe there was some way you could use it, or if it was at all helpful.

His is a scan/original art, yours is a photo of the book.  The photo is pretty much useless.  There's glare, lens distortion, etc.

Then why would you link me to a link I had already supplied?

Appreciate the thought but photos are pretty much useless here unless done with extreme care.

The link wasn't working for me earlier this morning (the one you posted).  Now it is - oh well, haha.  If you click on the image in the link I posted - you get a much bigger version of that picture - 2353 x 1575 versus 985 x 659.  I know it won't work for a cover, but I just thought you might be interested, that's all.  It is significantly bigger than the one you posted.  I didn't know if you saw that one, so just wanted to share.  Rotated and cropped, it could be maybe be used for something, if nothing else just for having a crappy version of the image that may be slightly better than other crappy versions of the image available online.  I don't know... heh

So, I've been seriously considering grabbing this lot.  I'll eventually run out of SNES games to case, and the only system that I've ever even considered having a complete collection for is the SNES/SFC.  It'll prolly never happen, but this would would increase my current collection by 66% (assuming there's not TONS of doubles in there).

Blah blah, point is, look what's on top of the pile in the first pic...

If I do pick this lot up, you better believe that the 1st scan will be for you ;)

Don't worry, my bid was waaaaay to low and I'm 101% I won't win it. And no, I didn't find it because of you but your post reminded me to drop a bid, that's all. If you want to know how much did I bid PM me; I don't want to compete with anyone around here. Actually, I shouldn't have posted anything at all, that was my mistake and I apologize.

It's not that big of a deal, but thanks for the apology.  I may not even bid.  I haven't made up my mind yet since I just won a few other auctions that I didn't expect to win and I'm still bidding on a couple more.  Between the few that I won and the few I'm bidding on, my monthly game budget is beyond spent.  That lot would be about 2 month's worth of game fundage for me, and that's assuming that it doesn't reach too far beyond 200 bucks.  So it requires some serious consideration for me anyway.

Feel free to shoot me with a pm with your bid if you like.  At least I can tell you whether or not I'm gonna bother bidding against you, which could potentially save you and I some $$$ ;)

edit: wow, never mind. Bidding just hit 375!  For as many good titles there are in that lot, I've gotta imagine that there's at least 5 copies of Super Mario World for each of em. If there was a full list of titles, maybe. But there's no way I'd pay that much without knowing that :-\

The auction was a total fraud. I was snipped in the last minute (how rare huh?) and then asked to take a second chance offer.

What was the offer, if you don't mind me asking?

I don't get why sellers do those sorts of things. They do  know that they can set a reserve price if they don't want to sell it under a certain amount, right?

Or they can just start the bids at a number they're comfortable will selling the items

or they can just list it as a BIN at a price they like.

I think you're misinterpreting what is suspected of having happened.  Artificial bid war possibly using a 2nd account by the seller.  That's totally different than setting a reserve or higher starting price.  Last minute bidding can cause people to get really worked up and bid more than they initially would have (it's happened to me a few times), versus trying to guess what the reserve may be or even considering the auction in the 1st place if the starting bid is perceived as too high (even if the price may have ended up there with a lower starting bid).

Strategic eBay listing is seriously serious.

No, I understand what's suspected of being done. That's the point I'm making, why go into shill bidding? It's against ebay policy among other things, there's ways to get the money he wants without having to be insanely underhanded.

I can't stand bidding wars btw. When I'm doing auctions, I just sit there for a moment and figure out exactly how much my spending limit on an item would be, and then add a dollar or two and some change on top of that, and leave it be.

If I get sniped, oh well, the sniper has deeper pockets than me apparently.

That's not way low in my book.  Way low woulda been like 250 or something IMO.

We're talking about 100 games including boxes and in most cases manuals. $250 is a fair price for loose carts IMO, not CIB's.

Fair and "waaaaay low" are 2 entirely different things.  Either way, it's over.  I wasn't gonna pay nearly 400 bucks for that pile no matter what.
